By altering the number of layers of material that we add into the mould, we are are able to tune the final performance of the TRAMPA decks relevant to the riders weight height & ability. Please use the FLEXOMETER above as a guide to help you choose the right ply board for you. TRAMPA's FLEXOMETER information is to be interpreted as a 'GUIDE ONLY' as there is no fixed rule as to which is the exact right deck for you. The weight, height & ability of the rider will all help determine which is the right sort of deck for you, but of course the most important factor is personal preference as to how the rider wants their deck to feel.... Some riders like it flexi, some like it firm, some like it very very stiff.... It depends on what you are doing on your board, i.e. freestyle, freeride, boarder-cross, altho there is guidance there is no right & no wrong just personal preference but when purchasing a deck from TRAMPA we want to make sure you get it exactly the way you want it! so if your stuck as to which one is the best for you them please drop as a line...
This page features the 'Custom Spur Gear Drive Electric Mountainboard!' - AKA 'The WEAPON'!!
As a Custom Board, this purchase comes with the bare minimum of equipment as standard - so it can be built up to meet a specific need or budget! Perfect for ‘repeat offenders’ that already own a suitable remote, 12s charger, or their own batteries, & fancy saving money rather than duplicating these items.
Custom Boards do not come assembled - if you wish for the TRAMPA crew to assemble your complete board, a Luxury bag must be added to the purchase, to protect the board in transit. Self-assembly is not rocket science, we have plenty of manuals to guide you, & TRAMPA components are designed / produced to secure & work harmoniously together. All TRAMPA products are made using premium materials to ensure optimum strength - but given the nature of these boards, they’ll face some high speed & hard impacts. It takes a lot of force to bend/break TRAMPA equipment, but it has been known to happen, so if/when it does, the insight from assembling the board yourself is invaluable for identifying and fixing potential problems.
Regardless of how many times you service your board, you should ALWAYS visually check nuts & bolts are tight before going out to ride.
2wd Electric Mountainboard Deck - CUSTOM
Its your choice of E-Deck!! Taller riders, or riders with a long legs or riders who enjoy a wide stance, these riders should look to take take the 9/73 Deck fitted with WINGS. All other riders should take the 9/69 Deck fitted with Wings.
There are Different flex rates in each size deck to suit riders weight whilst The WINGS route the cables from the Monster Box, under the riders foot to the motors at the rear. The Wings are W Shape concave giving a snug feeling under-foot & also increase the width of the deck from 9 to 10 inches...
• TRAMPA Decks can be used for everything from Big-Air & Free-ride to Electric & kite boarding.
• 9/69 is Standard length, 9/73 suits taller riders or riders with wide stance
Its Your choice!! Its possible to fit either the time proven 16 Inch Wide Precision Mountainboard SPRING Trucks or the new 17 Inch Wide TRAMPA-IR Double King-pinned Trucks to ANY of the TRAMPA decks with 35º Fixing Angles...
With Spring Trucks you have the ability to be able to adjust your steering resistance on the fly, by simply pressing in a 4mm Allen key into the Spring Adjuster that pokes out from the top of the Truck. Turning the Spring Adjuster clockwise tightens the steering resistance making it stiffer & more suitable for faster or off road riding... You can then increase the firmness of the spring by installing a DAMPA into the middle of the spring... A TRAMPA DAMPA is stack of 3 Urethane balls (the middle one being 50% larger) & the TRAMPA DAMPA supports the Spring as the turning happens giving a nice firm feel to the the turn.... Its possible to fit different hardness dampas in different corners of the deck to give you a real true custom feel...
There are 7 options of Shore hardness of DAMPA (steering resitance) (8 options if you include riding with NO Dampa for the latimate steereing experience) AND as the SPRINGS can be installed in the inside or outside postions, that means there are in total 16 different steering settings when using the SPRINGS in the TRAMPA Spring Trucks, and now there are even more options, its possible to install the TRAMPA BARRELS with special Anodised BARREL RETAINERS... The BARRELS are Hollow Tubes of rubber with a relatively firm hold compared to an un-supported spring (Un-supported by a Dampa installed in the spring) so the Barrel has a nice firm solid feel from the start of the steering...
Its possible to install different thickness Barrel retainers (4mm is standard, we offer 5, 6 & 7mm as upgrades), by instaling a thick base Barrel Retainer will in turn increase the steering resistance making for a firmer, tighter steering on the ride... great for speed and larger sized riders...
Both Truck options come in a huge array of anodised colours to choose from & BOTH Stles of Truck will accept ANY of the Mountainboard Motor Mounts That TRAMPA has to offer
TRAMPA's Wheel options are not only all very visually appealing, but the different combinations & material options we offer, including Bearing position options & Bearing size options to pretty much suit all Boards on the planet, as well of the thousands of alternative applications they are used for & all with connectable motor pulleys in the perfect tooth size to give harmonious gearing to match to the size of the assembled wheels with, the appearance & application options and connect-ability is quite fantastically endless....
HYPA Wheels are TRAMPA's Original 6 spoked hub. Using genuine DuPont materials we Plastic inject premium grade Glass/Nylon into a mould. The Superior 6 spoke design gives incredible strength to weight, although they are the cheapest hub TRAMPA offers in the range it is almost un-herd of for these to ever fail, however, being 6 spoked, it is not possible to fit them to the SPUR GEAR DRIVE Slave Pulleys or the 76Tooth OPEN BELT DRIVE Slave Pulley.
SUPERSTAR Wheels are TRAMPA's 2nd hub design. Using the same Plastic injection factory, material & technique to make the center set outer rim, we added Extruded T6 Heat Treated & Anodised 5 pronged spokes that push into the plastic housing & are supported in the center with a Spoke Support Spacer, M4x 40 Bolts push through the entire connection & nutted tight on the other side with M4 Nuts. The M4 Nuts can be removed from the assembly & 44 Tooth Slave pulleys, the 66 Tooth Pro Belt Pulley, or the SPUR GEAR DRIVE can be fitted directly to the hub. Fitting M4 Hex Spacers when connecting the wheels instead of the M4 nuts means you can then using M4x10 Cap or Dome Head bolts, bolt on a 62, 66 or 76 Tooth OBD Slave Pulley, or
CUSTOM BINDINGS - Build your own Bindings & colour combo!
RATCHET BINDINGS are the Mountain Board rider’s primary choice of binding! The Ratchet Buckle mechanism allows you to easily position the binding to fit most adult sized shoes or boots. There is a release clip on the top of the Ratchet Buckle which works just the same as snowboard binding does, that release the pressure & allows you to step out...
The main Foot-Strap has a special 'Lug or locator' on the top of the Foot-Strap to house a special Hook that protrudes from the underside of Ratchet Buckle. This hook presses into the 'Lug' on the top of the Foot-strap preventing any sideways movement in the connection of the Strap & Ratchet Buckle
The Ratchet Buckle connects with a special M5 Star nut & M5x8mm Countersunk bolt & the Ratchet is mounted on the top of the Main Foot Strap. The LADDER STRAP Positions on the outside of the foot & feeds into the Ratchet Buckle. Levering the Ratchet buckle brings the two straps together. The Ratchet Buckle locks each time you lift the buckle tightening the two straps together until you have a snug but not tight connection over the top of your foot. The release clip can be tuff to move specially of your bindings have been ratcheted tight.
Ratchet Bindings work at their absolute optimum when combined with TRAMPA Heel Straps. HEEL STRAPS Completely lock your feet into any of the TRAMPA bindings to make you feel at one with the deck. When using Heel Straps you are 100% committed to the ride & by doing so you gain so much more control over the board.
With 3 pairs of different length Ladder Straps to choose from, the TRAMPA Heel Straps easily adjust to fit to any sized shoe that comfortably fits onto a Mountain Board . A CAMLOCK BUCKLE on one side of the strap is used to Lock the Ladder Strap on one side of your foot whilst a Ratchet Buckle is used on the other side for easy tightening/loosening adjustment. The Ratchet Buckle easily tightens the Ladder into the Heel Straps so that your foot is locked into a comfortable position!.
TRAMPA Heel Straps are universally fitting and are supplied with a Marine Grade Stainless Steel FITTING KIT as standard, so only take a few minutes to assemble.
ALL TRAMPA Bindings are assembled using a Marine grade A4 Stainless Steel hardware. The L-Brackets are 'multi positional' allowing the rider the exact foot-stance they require.
All TRAMPA bindings use Stainless steel Dome Headed Bolts, connected through the Footstrap into L-Brackets, ensuring no discomfort to the foot.
The L-Brackets are 'multi positional' allowing the rider the exact foot-stance they require
TRAMPA's huge range of bindings are the most customisable on the market - meaning you’ll be able to get the perfect fit for your riding style - in any colour scheme you can think up.

Mountainboard Spur Gear Drive TWIN Motor Mount with PULLEYs - NO Motor, NO Filters
TRAMPA's MkIII SPUR GEAR DRIVE (SGD) Motor Mount is a Super Powerful drive system that's designed to give maximum performance. It is the perfect option for 'Serious Off-Road Riding!'
The performance from the SPUR GEAR DRIVE Motor Mount is likened to that of a Motor-Cross bike - The solid gears inter-lock & as the motor turns supplying instant propulsion! There can be no 'slip' no matter how hard you push.
The SGD has insane torque & gives astonishing acceleration. but it is still able to easily achieve, through a selection of different gearing options for different types of riders a 30mph+ top speed... Capable to handle aggressive riding, this board can be being ridden in the worst of conditions & also very good at hitting fair sized jumps like those found on your local BMX park.
Comparably, TRAMPA's PRO BELT DRIVE (PBD) Mountainboard, which many customers wonder if this is the right board for them compared to the SGD, because of its sturdy Black anodised Aluminium protective Tub makes the Pro Belt Drive setup a sealed off system and just like the SGD preventing the the likes of crap from getting in, the PBD can still be ridden in bad conditions but is designed with gearing that is more like that of a Motor-Enduro bike which is less aggressive acceleration but therefore a higher top speed & should be selected for longer flatter rides as its somehow more comfortable for these kinds of rides & gives you a bit more top-end speed at the same time....
TRAMPA's 'SPUR GEAR DRIVE Motor Mount' will only fit to Precision CNC Hangers. Constructed using TRAMPA's special Conical Clamping system which securely tightens itself onto the Hanger, the Assembly of any of the TRAMPA Motor Mounts is incredibly sturdy & terribly robust 100% perfect for the rough terrain they’ll be ripping across.
The SPUR GEAR DRIVE Pulleys are produced in 2 ways. Originally using light weight POM material (Which is great for light weight riders) & now being also offered in Heat treated Steel alternatives (Which is great for the larger riders). POM is like a re-enforced plastic material & much less Heavy than a Steel option. The POM Pullies are offered in a 58 Tooth Helical cut (supplying a gear ratio of 1:5.8) &/or a 59 Tooth Straight cut gear (supplying a Gear ratio of gives 1:5.9) so the Straight cut pulley has 1 tooth more which means it will accelerate slightly faster than the 58 Helical (but barely anything in it really).
Its claimed the Straight-cut POM gears run slightly louder than the Helical POM Gears, although the slight increased noise can be quite nice to hear, it gives a sense of speed & can be quite useful to alerting ramblers or pedestrians you are approaching or likely to approach around a blind corner that you might be traveling too fast into and therefore the slight noise alerts our fellow citizens of our approach which takes the fright of a surprise out of your potentially fast approaching presence... :-)
Both POM Pullies options are wonderful for the lighter weight riders, say up to 80kg in weight, but sometimes not robust enough for the larger sized riders out there, 80kg+.... If your an aggressive rider but light weight then you should consider taking the steel Pullies as they are stronger for sure...
& so larger sized 'Fully grown BigBoys' out there that want the same performance as the light weigh riders they see in the videos they need the strongest equipment & with more gearing ratio to allow their extra weight/mass to have almost the same incredible performance as the lighter weighted riders, so we have made some Heat treated STEEL Slave Pullies. That's a ratio of 1-7 and will give incredible torque! So for riders that are big and need some gearing to shift them forwards fast, the 9/63 is the one for them. If your a light
You can further fine-tune the performance by changing the Rear Drive wheel size. Changing from 8” to 9” or 10“ Tyres has a massive effect on the performance of the board. Check out the Spur Gear gearing chart to see estimated top speeds of different tyre & pulley combinations.
CNC'd from a Solid Block of Super Strong Aluminium the SGD Tub is T6 Heated before being presented to you in a Glossy BLACK Anodised finish, with a TRAMPA logo running down its facing edge to give incredibly smart & co-ordinating good looks as well as maximum performance 100% of the time!
It is only possible to fit the TRAMPA 5 Spoke Hubs to SGD Slave Pulleys. This means the 5-Spoke Phatlads, Superstar & Megastar wheels fit no problem. However it is only possible to run 8, 9 or 10 inch tyres on the Pro Drives, due to low clearance around the housing tubs.
Spur Gear Slave Pulleys are made using premium POM plastic, giving them the best strength : weight ratio possible.
TRAMPA's EXTERNAL SPUR GEAR DRIVE is housed within a super strong, rubber-sealed Tub, CNC’d from a solid block of heat-treated T6 Aluminium. Ensuring all the moving parts are safe from the elements, as well as knocks and bumps that come along naturally when riding.
We recommend you service your board every three rides, or after any particularly tough ride. Check the hardware is tight, the gears are greased, & for any damage - particularly to the motor mounts/trucks. Ensure the tub is free from any dust/dirt. Servicing your board is important for keeping it running smoothly, as well as for your safety when riding.
