TRAMPA's CARVE TRUCK is genuinely amazing! It's edge against any competition is that it is TWO TRUCKS in ONE!! Luuusshh!! The trick is the Hanger is reversible.... By Turning the Hanger around transforms the ride ahead!! :-) You see, the 9.525mm Axles are fitted into the Hanger in an Off-Set position & so by changing the direction of the hanger in the assembly of the Truck, changes the Wheelbase length & Ride Height of the assembled deck, allowing you to choose from a wide array of different wheels sizes & Grip choices, giving you an almost unlimited number of different On & Off Road ride combinations, you will be stuck to know what is the best ride setup until you get out and ride! :-)
TRAMPA CARVE TRUCK's are miniature versions of the globally reputed 16.5 inch wide ATB Trucks. The difference in measurement between is not so much but the performance difference is hugely substantial... The Hanger body has been cut down from 11 inches to just 9 Inches wide & by fitting a thinner / shorter 9.525mm Axle leaving us with an exposed Axle length of just 46mm, which just so happens to be enough space to fit all TRAMPA Wheel options, shrinking the overall width of the CARVE TRUCK down to just 12.5 Inches wide! Wicked!!
Being smaller in all dimensions means the CARVE TRUCK needs to have smaller sized wheels fitted to compliment the performance of the deck, such as the 83 & 90mm Long Board Wheels or the new 6.5 inch Pneumatic Tyres that fit to the TRAMPA HYPA & SUPERSTAR Hubs. Using smaller or larger wheels gives access to a whole new world of boarding that most people out there did not know existed.... Until now that is :-)
To give the Carve Truck its reputed array of steering options, Carve Trucks have been given 2 Spring Positions. This Dual spring positioning means the Springs can be moved from the inside position (Super Carvy), to the outside position (High Speed) transforming the performance of your trucks incredibly. It takes just 2 pocket sized tools & 2 minutes of your time to completely transform the performance of your deck from super Carvy to Super High Speed!! If the outside position is still not stiff enough for your requirements then adding the TRAMPA DAMPA's (available in a variety of hardness's) into the spring assembly, makes the steering as STIFF as XXXX (you could ever imagine), setting you up perfectly for wobble free high speed rides....!
Unbelievably the Steering can be Fine Tuned even further by using a 4mm Allen Key & Turning the SPRING ADJUSTER clockwise, down onto the Spring & DAMPA (if fitted) putting pre loaded pressure into your springs ready for you to ride.... Pre-loading your springs relevant to your requirements allows you to custom tune the steering exactly, each spring can be compressed individually to you personal requirements prior too riding & also on the fly, so if you need more toe side turn at the front then just turn this one anti clockwise (reducing the pressure) a turn or two until you are happy with the setup and change again if you are not happy....
As you would expect from TRAMPA the 12.5 inch wide CARVE TRUCKS are available in INFINITY VERTIGO & ULTIMATE (TITANIUM) options :-)
Using high grade super strength FORGED ALLOY to make the HANGER-BODY, (which in many cases is then CNC machined to trim out excess weight without upsetting the balance or any of strength of the shape in anyway & to ensure precision mounting) is then fitted with a selection of either SOLID STEEL (Infinity), HOLLOW STEEL (Vertigo) or light weight TITANIUM (Ultimate) Axle options.
The HANGER is connected to the Super Strong, (EXTRUDED & T6 HEAT TREATED) Aluminum BASEPLATE by the use of a Horizontally mounted 8mm KINGPIN. Connecting the two components horizontally rater than vertically allows our huge range of steering, plus this technique gives us the space for the SPRINGS (Stuffed with Spring Adjusters) to be squeezed into the resulting gap between the two components. The oversized SPRINGS take up the slack in the steering, creating a balanced 'steering resistance'. By the use of a 4mm Allen-Key the to turn the SPRING ADJUSTER in the Baseplate mounting point, turning clockwise pushes force onto the SPRING RETAINER squashing the Spring below. The steering can be pre-tensioned to your personal requirement. The amount of steering resistance required for you depends on many factors, including your body weight & body size, your riding ability, the track you are about to ride & of course your riding style & personal preference. Generally speaking riding a board uses the same rules as driving a Rally car, the better/faster the rider is, the stiffer the pre-tension needs to be.
The Kingpin is available in a selection of options (Nikel Plated, Stainless Steel or light-weight TITANIUM). The Kingpin is mounted in special 'precision made' Plastic Bushings, which are pushed into their precision CNC made holes located in the Hanger & Baseplate. Fitting the plastic Bushings allows the components to move around each other (Giving us steering) without wearing out any of the precision made metal parts... These plastic bushings will wear out & ultimately need replacing after use or over time. It is good practice to service your board regular & in particular check these little parts every 3 months or so, or especially after heavy use or use in particular down the beach as the sand & salt are nasty substances & if not removed will cause you issues to your components. If you can see signs of wear, take the Truck apart & replace these parts. Failure to replace a broken Bushing may result in damage caused to the Kingpin holes in your Baseplate or Hanger which will result in loss of performance to you!
DO NOT OVER PRE-TENSION your springs. Doing so is not a good thing & may damage your Spring adjuster threads in the Baseplate! The Springs need some space to operate, restricting the movement will restrict your steering. You should not Pre-Tension your springs anymore than approximately 8-10mm at the max!! If you have already adjusted your springs & still require more resistance, then up-grade & fit TRAMPA DAMPA's to support your springs & increase your steering resistance.
TRAMPA DAMPA's come in 5 Different SHORE Hardness & there is a correct hardness for every type or weight of rider out there! Once the DAMPA's are fitted you can quickly adjust your board relevant to the conditions or terrain ahead... Over time your riding will improve & you will demand more pre-tension (performance) from your steering. So remember the DAMPA's need some room to work & so that you don't over tighten your SPRINGS squashing the DAMPA's too much because ultimately they will split, instead change your DAMPA's to a slightly Harder Shore Resistance or maybe think about simply refreshing the DAMPA's you have as the Urethane used to make them can perish over time through use in dirty environments. The resulting MINI SPRING TRUCK is like a breath of fresh air in the world of precision Street-Boarding as the setup can easily be tuned to your personal requirements like never before. This custom tuning gives incredible Stability when riding at top speed...
As with all TRAMPA BOARDS products, the Mini Spring Trucks are assembled using only Marine Grade Stainless Steel fixings. All bolts use Blue Locking paste whilst all of the nuts are fitted with the world renowned NYLOCK locking system. Being Marine Grade Stainless Steel means NON of the fixings on this product will ever rust on you! Amen!!

M5 x 12mm Countersunk Allen-Key Bolt - Marine Grade Stainless steel with locking paste
Made from A4 Marine Grade Stainless Steel, all of the nuts, bolts & screws used in a TRAMPA board have proven to be up to the challenge of holding everything together. Using Marine Grade Stainless Steel also means these Bolts will never rust on you! They can cope with the harshest of weather conditions & will laugh in the face of sandy/salty beaches or muddy freeride tracks - which can turn other manufacturers’ nuts & bolts into corroded rusting wrecks!
Wherever possible, we dip all our bolts into BLUE THREAD LOCKING PASTE, to ensure an extra strong & secure fix between the nuts & bolts.
The head of this Bolt is COUNTERSUNK, meaning that when screwed into position it sits flush & neat with the surface its screwed into. Preventing bolts from standing proud eliminates the chance of anything getting "snagged or hung-up" should it get caught on something..

M6 Nut - Marine Grade Stainless steel Nylock Nut - Fixes Bindings & Trucks to Deck
Introducing TRAMPA's M6 (6mm Thread) A4 Grade Marine Grade Stainless steel Nylock Nut. This Nylock Nut will fit to all M6 Bolts regardless of their length. This A4 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Nut will never rust on you! It is fitted with the world renowned NYLOCK System (Nylock is a nylon locking system where Nylon is pasted into the threads of the nut so that when the bolt is tightened into the nut the nylon grabs the thread of the bolt holding it locking it in the thread ensuring things do not vibrate loose or fall off when being ridden on rough terrain like that which a Mountain or Kiteboard endures. The NYLOCK System is fitted as standard to all TRAMPA Nuts.
This Nut is used to fix to the Regular shaped M6 Bolts that hold the TRUCKS to the DECK for the HOLYPRO Decks & also for the countersunk bolts connecting the L BRACKETS TO the DECKs. Use an 10mm spanner or SOCKET for a Ratchet Driver to tighten the Nut onto the Bolt. Always ensure your Nuts & Bolts are tight before you ride!
3/8ths Nut - Marine Grade Stainless steel Nylock HALF nut W3/8 - 24T UNF
This very special Marine Grade Stainless steel Nyloc HALF NUT is custom made specially to fit the TRAMPA products. Half nut means - half as the size of a regular nut, so half the size = half the weight of a normal nut. By using Half nuts on the axles reduces the over all length of the axle & kingpin therefore reducing weight in the Truck also! A few Grams here & a few grams there soon adds up to quite alot & that makes all the difference to the total Truck & consequently deck weight, specially in critical areas of the deck such as the wheels area...
This very special 3/8ths of an inch Marine Grade Stainless steel Nylock Half Nut official factory measurements are W3/8ths - 24T - UNF. This Nut is used to hold the wheels onto the axles of the 9.525mm (3/8ths of Inch or otherwise referred to as 10mm) SKATE TRUCKS & also the Spring Trucks fitted with TITANIUM axles. This Nut is also used to hold the KINGPIN in position on all Skate Trucks. The Nut is fitted as standard with the world renowned NYLOC System. The Nyloc "locks the Nut onto the Bolt" eliminating vibration, keeping your nuts tighter for longer!
Use a 14mm or 9/16ths of an Inch spanner to tighten the Nut onto the Axle or Kingpin, do not overtighten the nut, allow the wheel to spin freely but not rattle & do not crush your bearings. Being Marine Grade Stainless Steel this nut will not rust you! Always ensure all ur nuts are tight before you ride!

PRECISION Shim spacer - STAINLESS STEEL - Bridges tiny gaps on axles - 9.525 x 13.525 x 1mm
This tiny STEEL Shim Spacer is precision made to give maximum performance! It is used to hold the bearings in the perfect position & also to bridge tiny gaps on the axles, ensuring an accurate fit with NO rattles!
The Shim spacer slips onto the axle fitting either side of the Bearings when the wheel is being fitted onto 9.525mm Axles.
This tiny spacer positions the wheel perfectly on the axle, holding the Bearing in the best possible place to help achieve maximum spin rate for the wheel. Its little parts like these that suffer the most amount of abuse, especially when they are used in the harsh conditions that they are. Check from time to time they are in good order & possibly replacing them every now & then this good proactice will ensure your board stays in tip-top condition, always!
CUSTOM Spring Truck Baseplate - Extruded T6 Aluminum Anodised & CNC precision Milled
The INFINITY Baseplate will fit to all of the TRAMPA Spring Truck Hangers but is designed specifically to work in conjunction with the Mini Spring Hanger as it houses a NEW Dual Spring Adjuster position! When the Springs are moved to the new inside position, the new location allows the rider to turn the board very very easily, making it perfect for fast carve riding on all kinds of terrain. The INFINITY Baseplate is, as its name suggests, designed & built to last forever! Aircraft grade 6061 Aluminum is forced through a Die to create our re-enforced extruded profile. Extruding Aluminum ensures consistent high quality strength. Once Extruded the Baseplate is T6 Heat Treated. Heat treating extruded aluminum fuses the molecules even closer together making it as strong as possible, enabling the INFINITY Baseplate to easily cope with the extreme stresses of all types of off road boarding.
Once Heat Treated, the profile has its fixing holes punched into position & then its Bead Polished in preparation to be Anodised Silver. Once the colour has dried, the Baseplate is then returned to the factory for the precision CNC Machine to accurately mill the Kingpin holes, giving the exact precision required for constructing the Truck.
MINI VERTIGO Hanger - 9.525mm HOLLOW steel Axles Black Anodised & CNC'd light
The Mini VERTIGO Hanger measures 12.5 Inches in total width & it fits to all TRAMPA Spring Truck Baseplates. Being narrower in the body & fitted with shorter axles than regular ATB Hangers means the overall steering characteristics are completely different. The Hanger has the usual Spring Adjuster facility but is also drilled with 2 spring mounting positions & by changing the spring positions in the truck (inside or outside position) or by adding/removing some TRAMPA DAMPA's into/from the springs means the Mini VERTIGO Hanger has an incredibly broad range of controllable steering which can be used for so many different applications its simply ace!
We have just released a full range of STREET CARVER BOARDS which all use the Mini Hangers. & amongst other applications the Mini Hangers will be used to make a Kids "Spring Truck" Mountainboard which will bring massive riding advantages to the younger/smaller riders...
The VERTIGO hanger body is made from FORGED ALUMINUM & comes as one solid piece. It is fitted with 9.525mm (10mm) HOLLOW STEEL Axles. The Hollow Axles are HEAT TREATED. Heat treating steel makes it substantially stronger & less likely to rust. The Mini VERTIGO Hanger is a slimmed down light weight version of the Mini INFINITY Hanger. The CNC machine is used to accurately drill the excess bulk from the centre of the truck reducing weight whilst retasining all the molecular strength it originally had and to ensure a neat job of the Kingpin Holes. This CNC work is expensive stuff but well worth the cost as it saves loads of weight! & Ensuring the Kingpin Holes are accurately placed guarantee's peak performance to the rider as well as making the truck easy to assembly & service. The Mini VERTIGO Hanger is BLACK ANODISED for best surface protection before the CNC work is carried out , which consequently leaves an awesome two-tone pimped polished appearance amongst the details of the product :-)
Mini Vertigo Truck Hangers are used in BOTH the STREET Carver Trucks & the amazing URBAN Carver Trucks. The only difference between the Street & Urban Carver Trucks is the facing direction of the hanger, by turning the hanger around during assembly allow's the different style of Truck... Axle facing forwards for Urban, Axle facing backwards for Street.
We turn the Hanger around because the axle position is not centrally located in the Hanger and so by facing the axle forwards away from the toe's, extends the wheel base whilst at the same time lowers the ride height of the deck (You have to remember the truck is mounted at a 35º), making the resulting Truck & Deck combination wheel base more suitable for mounting a larger wheel, HENCE why the URBAN CARVER Truck uses the 7 inch pneumatic wheels.
Equally, Where as when the hanger is reversed & the Axle is facing towards the riders toe's, the wheel base is shortened & of course the deck height is subsequently raised slightly, co-incidentally to a perfect height to fit much smaller style of wheel & you guessed hence why the Street Carver Deck uses the 83mm or 90mm Longboard wheels.... :-)
Custom Kingpin for Spring Trucks - M8x80mm Nikle Plated, Stainless Steel or TITANIUM
This 'M8 x 80mm Spring Truck Kingpin' is used to connect the Hanger & the Baseplate on any of TRAMPA's Spring Trucks.
Using high quality metals & sizing down to a 8mm Kingpin, we have managed to save loads of weight whilst retaining all the strength necessary for the job!
This M8 x 80mm Kingpin uses an 8mm Washer to support the busing from the outside & a 6mm washer to protect the bushing on the inside side & connects into an M6 Nut. You'll need a 4mm Allen key to hold the Kingpin & a 10mm spanner to tighten/loosen your M6 Kingpin Nut.
This Kingpin pushes through plastic bushings before being placed into position in the Truck System. The Plastic bushings allow the metal parts (Hanger & Baseplate) to move freely inside each other without allowing the metal parts to touch or wear out.
The plastic bushings will wear out over time & use & will eventually perish & need replacing. SO, make sure your Bushings are always in good working order after riding riding or when upgrading your Kingpin, it might be time to replace them too due to the unavoidable wear & tear of moving mountainboard parts.
King Pin Bushings have different thickness bases & fit into all Spring Trucks
The 2mm Kingpin Bushings are pushed into the holes of the SAVAGE Hanger & sit tightly in position. They hold the Kingpin in a wear-free position between the moving metal parts of the SAVAGE hanger & Baseplate.
The Bushings allow the movement (steering) without wearing out the metal parts.
The Kingpin bushings are a small perishable item. They are subjected to a lot of forces & stress, although they are now supported by a 2mm Kingpin Bushing re-enforcement ring, through regular abuse they will ultimately wear out & eventually need replacing.
Depending on what surface you are riding on & the nature of your riding style will depend on how long these bushings will last you.
To make sure your trucks are always performing at their best you should keep some spare Bushings on the shelf at home & inspect these them on a regular basis (preferably before riding) & in particular replace any bushings that are showing signs of wear & then even if they are not broken from time to time replace them anyway...
One way to check your bushings is to man h&le the truck when fitted to the deck... If you feel any play between the Hanger & the Baseplate then you definitely need to replace the bushings straight away before you do damage to the hanger.
Worn out Bushings will cause the kingpin to rub in the Hanger kingpin hole... The kingpin is much stronger than the Aluminium used to make the hanger & the kingpin will wear a nasty hole of you do not fix the problem before it gets too late.
If you ride with trucks that have play in them, then you are lining yourself up for an accident... If you feel any play, this can at speed convert to wobble & we all know riding with a board with a wobble will lead to accidents, so it is wise to check your bushings & rings on a regular basis.

Kingpin Bushing Re-enforcement Ring - Custom
2.5mm Kingpin Bushing Re-enforcement Rings are used in the assembly of all of the TRAMPA Spring Trucks with EXCETION TO the SAVAGE Trucks which use 2mm Kingpin Bishings & 2mm re-enforcement rings in its assembly.
The Kingpin Bushing Re-enforcement Ring is pushed onto or over the top of the Kingpin bushing after it has been inserted into the Hanger & before the baseplate is presented for connection.
The Re-enforcement ring spreads the weight of the connection to give extra support to the tiny kingpin bushings, whilst still allowing the free movement between the Hanger & Baseplate (steering), without wearing out the metal parts.

They easily squeeze into the space between the Baseplate & Hanger & being made to measure they are firstly very easy to fit with no clamps or tools required to squueze them into position & secondly to be super responsive to the rider.! Once the spring assembly is fitted correctly the steering resistance is taken up instantly!
Our Springs have been designed to work in perfect harmony with the TRAMPA DAMPA's & TRAMPA SPRING RETAINER providing maximum performance from the "Spring assembly" to the rider. The DAMPA's drop into the SPRING & the SPRING RETAINERS seal the ends of the spring, holding the DAMPA in exact position to be pre-loaded & squeezed into the truck. Using just a little bit of muscle, squeeze the loaded spring into the truck, then lock the spring into position using the Spring Adjuster & M5 x 12mm Countersunk Bolt. Spring Retainer - Specially designed to work in harmony with the Dampa & spring
TRAMPA's very own & very special re-enforced Spring retainer. Specifically shaped to fit tightly inside the TRAMPA springs & snugly hold the Trampa Dampa in the exact position to give precision steering to the rider. Made by Injection Moulding using original Dupont Materials, with an extra wide Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Flanged Insert seated internally, re-enforcing the Retainer. The Extra Strength of the re-enforced flange, eliminates the need for a very fiddly fitting washer, that is still found in the MBS and Scrub boards today.

The TRAMPA DAMPA is a Urethane Elastomer that fits inside the Spring of a Truck. Its purpose is to support the Spring & give extra resistance during steering. Its clever design has three balls stacked & connected on-top of each other. The middle ball is slightly fatter than the outer two, during steering they all compress against each other giving greater feed back in your turns. This stacked design gives a fantastic progressive feel to steering.
By varying the SHORE DUROMETER (Rubber Hardness) strength of the Urethane mixture, we can control the amount of movement in the DAMPA. This in turn allows the rider to custom tune the resistance of their steering perfect to their requirements. The spheres of the DAMPA fit perfectly into the cup of the specially made TRAMPA SPRING RETAINER which is the part that locates & locks the Spring in the the TRAMPA SPRING TRUCKS, and they instantly start to work with the slightest movement from the rider. TRAMPA DAMPA's work in harmony with the rider, supplying the perfect amount of steering resistance whilst eliminating all chances of speed wobble. Now available in 5 different steering resistance's for all levels of rider out there, Orange DAMPA's are for easy steering, whilst White DAMPA's are for the totally committed!
Turning the Spring Adjuster clockwise pre-loads the tension in the Spring and DAMPA. This can be adjusted on the fly to suit the terrain & conditions. Turning the spring adjuster too much will put pressure on the DAMPA & eventually it may split. Rather than putting too much pressure into the DAMPA, consider up-grading the DAMPA to a harder Shore Durometer as this will most likely increase your performance than over tightening a DAMPA that's not stiff enough for you. Spring Adjuster - Marine Grade Stainless Steel
TRAMPA's very own & very special SPRING ADJUSTER is made using A4 MARINE GRADE STAINLESS STEEL & is guaranteed never to rust on you! The Spring adjuster is fitted to the trucks once the springs have been pushed into position. The spring adjuster pre-tensions the steering suitable for the rider’s requirements. We designed the Spring Adjuster to be slightly shorter in length than other brands’, to avoid the tip of the adjuster poking through the internal of the Spring Retainer, and interfering with the performance of the DAMPA located on the inside of the Retainer.
Should you need extra resistance from your steering because you wish to ride fast, or if you need more steering because the course is twisty, then you can very easily & quickly adjust the resistance of your steering by simply turning the spring adjuster in the correct direction. To get the most out of your trucks on changeable terrain, simply use a 4mm Allen Key to make your adjustments. Winding the Spring Adjuster clockwise increases the steering resistance, which in turn restricts wobble at high speed. Turning the Adjuster anti-clockwise loosens the steering allowing a more carvey ride.
DO NOT over tighten your Spring Adjuster, as this may crush your DAMPA. If you need more steering resistance upgrade your DAMPA's & do not over tighten!
The entire CARVE TRUCK Range is without doubt the sweetest steering system ever to be created! CARVE TRUCK's are also totally amazing! The Hanger is reversible & it can be assembled to make two entirely different Trucks in one! They can be fitted with either the 83 & 90mm Stickies Longboard wheels for STREET CARVE use & for URBAN CARVE they can be assembled to any of the amazing 7 inch HYPA or SUPERSTAR wheels, using Urban Treads, Gummies or any other 7 Inch tyre on the website!
Amazingly the Hanger is reversible... The Axle is positioned offset in the hanger, NOT Centrally located... This means when we assemble the Truck, depending on what we are assembling it for (The Carve Truck will assemble to fit to either Street or Urban Carve Decks) will depend on which way around we assemble the hanger.. The hanger faces forwards (Same as mountainboard) for the URBAN Carve Deck assembly making the overall wheel base longer & the ride height as low as possible to accept the larger sized wheels that lift the deck height back up & by increasing the wheel base gives the extra space to fit the larger wheels at the ends. Setting up the deck for the Street Carve we turn the hanger 180º so it faces inwards (Axles to the inside) shortening the wheel base, raising the ride height to a more acceptable position to be able to accommodate the smaller sized 83 & 90mm Longboard wheels.
The Carve Truck has 'Dual Spring Positions'. Having Dual Spring positions means the rider has even more tune-ability than what they can shake a stick at! The rider can adjust & custom tune their steering range to just about any setting for any kind of terrain or ride type they can imagine.... It is possible to 'move the springs into the inside position', making the steering easy to turn & super loose, making the performance perfect for incredibly sexy CARVY TURNS.... Alternatively if your not in that mood or Carvy turns is not your thing try moving the springs 'into the outside position' & then 'Adding TRAMPA DAMPA's into the springs' before inserting into the truck, thus making the steering as STIFF as you could ever imagine, setting you up perfectly for the fastest of high speed runs when & where ever possible....!
The VERTIGO CARVE TRUCK has been CNC'd light weight. The CNC Machine has also been used to precision drill the Kingpin Holes to ensure the connection between the Hanger & Baseplate are exact. The precision milled CNC holes allow the Truck to assemble like a dream - everything fixes together perfectly enabling the INFINITY CARVE TRUCK to provide problem free, precision riding for forever!
