By altering the number of layers of material that we add into the mould, we are are able to tune the final performance of the TRAMPA decks relevant to the riders weight height & ability. Please use the FLEXOMETER above as a guide to help you choose the right ply board for you. TRAMPA's FLEXOMETER information is to be interpreted as a 'GUIDE ONLY' as there is no fixed rule as to which is the exact right deck for you. The weight, height & ability of the rider will all help determine which is the right sort of deck for you, but of course the most important factor is personal preference as to how the rider wants their deck to feel.... Some riders like it flexi, some like it firm, some like it very very stiff.... It depends on what you are doing on your board, i.e. freestyle, freeride, boarder-cross, altho there is guidance there is no right & no wrong just personal preference but when purchasing a deck from TRAMPA we want to make sure you get it exactly the way you want it! so if your stuck as to which one is the best for you them please drop as a line...
This page features the 'Custom Spur Gear Drive Electric Mountainboard!' AKA 'The WEAPON'!!
As a Custom Board, this board comes with the bare minimum of Equipment. Many of our customers are repeat offenders, they already have Chargers & Remote controls & there is absolutely no point for these customers duplicating on these items if you/they already have them, & so purchasing this custom board allows you to pick & choose the parts you do want or need according to your exact requirements or budget. So if you have a suitable Remote Control, or a 12s Charger, or your own batteries, perhaps you want to save some money & not purchase a Luxury bag so that you can complete the assembly yourself, (The bag acts as the packaging when we send it fully assembled) in which case we will semi assemble your deck, ready for the final construction by yourself....
If you do select to do th eself assembly then its not rocket science to complete the assembly of the board and there are manuals to guide you if you do fancy saving a few quid & the challenge of building your own board... If you have basic DIY skills then you should find the final part of assembly a complete pleasure to do... Everything nuts n bolts together like Mechano & afterall it is the best way to learn the board & see the hidden quality of the products in their simplistic yet top quality assembly process....
All of the TRAMPA products are incredibly strong but we don't claim the products are unbreakable, (well we do about the deck as that's sold as un-breakable because in all the years we have been making the decks we have never ever broken one) but all the other items are made of metal & given a hard enough impact, & lets face it, if ridden right these boards will potentially face some potentially high speed/hard impacts, and lets face it given enough force most things can bend... Dont worry it usually takes a hell of a lot of force to bend TRAMPA equipment, but its been known & if the worst happens then don't worry they are easy fixed as we carry everything as spares on the shelf for when they are needed & so getting back to the point the insight to the self assembly not only saves you a considerable amount of money but it arguably helps you to be able to identify potential problems before they happen hence draws the importance of how good it is to service & maintain your board regularily. Plus its the best way to learn what needs doing in the form of ongoing maintenance & service point of view..... We recommend servicing your board every time you hit it hard or when it gets completely covered in muk, just like a motor cross bike muk can get into things & things can also rattle loose if old or worn, tings suprisingly even come undone in worst case scenario & if your just an easy cruzer, not pushing the board too hard, not trying to make freestyle moves & generally keeping the board clean then you should still check over your board before you ride each time but maybe service every third or 4th full charge.
Regardless of how many times you make your service you should ALWAYS visually check nuts & bolts are tight before going out to ride & if possible as you never know eventualities & i have seen some in my time, carry spares of everything if you are heading out in the the wilderness, just in case... It can be a pain in the ass if you breakdown with no recovery and no spare for repair..... There are videos & manuals to help you through the final assembly, service & maintenance & also repair if you need it... Also sending the board as semi assembled means the package is much smaller, it costs us & consequently you, and the environment considerably less when sending semi assembled....
2wd Electric Mountainboard Deck
TRAMPA’s famous range of indestructible Decks are unlike anything else on the market. Tailored to a riders' weight, height & ability – TRAMPA DECKS give unrivaled responsiveness & confidence in the board when riding.
Created to replace dull unresponsive wooden decks & reinvent the off-road riding experience, TRAMPA decks bring a whole new riding-experience. With insane ‘pop’ & shock-absorbing flex, TRAMPA decks are the #1 choice for freestyle riding & comfortable cruising.
Made using a secret re-enforced glass and plastic composite (originally developed for light-weight military applications), TRAMPA decks are indestructible. In 17 years of excessive & harsh testing - pushing the decks to their limits (inside & out of intended applications) - there has never been a single break!
TRAMPA decks are measured in “Ply”, referring to how many layers of ‘secret-composite’ are used when making the deck. A lower ply deck will be flexi-er & lighter than a higher-ply one. Generally we recommend higher ply decks for heavier riders, and lower for lighter riders – but flex, pop, and stiffness are all a matter of taste. Our Ply-ratings range from 11 - 18 in various lengths & shapes – meaning there’s a perfect TRAMPA deck for everyone!
TRAMPA decks have 35°, 15° or 0° Truck Mounting Angles, in order to work with the various steering systems used across different applications.
35° Decks – Work in perfect harmony with TRAMPA’s amazing Spring Trucks – a highly tuneable steering system designed give optimal responsiveness at 35°.
15° Decks – Fit to ATB Skate Trucks – a lightweight & cheaper steering system, perfect for lighter riders & kiteboarders.
0° Deck – Our ORRSOM Longboard Deck uses a special split-tip that allows 12FIFTIES Longboard trucks to be mounted at 3 different heights.
How are they made?
The TRAMPA™ deck is made from a re-enforced glass and plastic thermo composite. Chosen because it gives a superior strength-to-weight ratio, whilst (unlike carbon fibre) remaining flexible. It is able to withstand huge impacts, forces and flex's that would shatter other materials.
Specially formulated, and presented in a thread like format, just like cotton. From there, it’s woven to our desired width, and placed it onto a roll. Pre-shaped, polished-aluminium moulds are used to give the material the dimensions and surface quality we require – this is where we vary the layer quantity of the composite in the mould, & control the amount of flex and pop in the resulting deck, giving us our Ply Ratings.
A special seal is used to create a high-pressured vacuum, then mould is then placed in a special oven to cook for about 2 hours. As the air is sucked out, the heated material becomes fluid – then at the crucial moment heating is turned off and the moulds are cooled, resulting in one solid piece! The decks are then cut out using a high-pressure water-cutter, resulting in a razor sharp finish to the edge of the deck.
The decks are then finished by hand. The binding and grab handle fixing holes are measured and drilled by hand, Metal files are used to take away the sharp edge of the deck and they are then rubbed smooth with a block and various grades of sandpaper.
TRAMPA are happy to announce that we can now offer CUSTOM PAINT JOBS on our decks. We’ve been releasing our parts in an amazing selection of colours - and now it’s time we offer the deck to match!
We’re luckily sited next to an awesome car spray shop, which are happy to take on some of our decks and make them shine! They know their paint, and know techniques for making any colour pop, without adding too much weight to the finished deck - guaranteeing a perfect & even finish that’ll last for years.
We’ve got a wide range of colours for you to pick and choose from, or you can send over a pantone of your own and we’ll match it the best we can!
Custom Sprayed Decks costs £100 extra, and should be ready to ship two weeks from your order.
Made from the same secret, indestructible composite that give TRAMPA decks their unrivalled pop & performance, Electric decks have specially designed features that work in harmony with some amazing electrical components. 9-69 Original or 10-73 BigBoi deck size/shape.

This keeps all important cables out of the way, safe & dry – while improving the finished look of the board 10x.
The TRAMPA INFINITY truck is the strongest SPRING TRUCK in the product range! To ensure the maximum strenght possible the hanger is made from FORGED ALUMINUM & it's one solid piece! The INFINITY Hanger is fitted with 12mm SOLID STEEL Axles. The 12mm Solid Axles are HEAT TREATED. Heat treating steel makes it substantially stronger, more resistant to impact & less prone to rust. 12mm Solid Axles are without doubt the strongest Axles in the TRAMPA range. The Axles are first Glued & then Screwed with a Marine Grade Stainless Steel Grub Screw locking them in the perfect position to mount your wheel too. The Hanger is connected to an EXTRUDED & T6 HEAT TREATED Aluminum BASEPLATE & as it's name suggests the INFINITY HS-11 TRUCK is designed to last forever!!
CUSTOM BINDINGS - Build your own Bindings & colour combo!
TRAMPA’s huge range of bindings are the most customisable on the market - meaning you’ll be able to get the perfect fit for your riding style - in any colour scheme you can think up.
All TRAMPA bindings use Stainless steel Dome Headed Bolts, connected through the Footstrap into L-Brackets, ensuring no discomfort to the foot. The L-Brackets are 'multi positional' allowing the rider the exact foot-stance they require. All TRAMPA Bindings are supplied with a Marine grade A4 Stainless Steel deck fixing kit included.
TRAMPA's RATCHET BINDINGS are the number 1 choice of Bindings for Mountain Boarding. The Ratchet Buckle mechanism allows the rider to lever the bindings very tight, treating the rider to a locked in & fully connected boarding experience. TRAMPA Bindings wrap snugly over the top of your foot so firm footwear is advisable. The EVA Foam Padding is ribbed on the underside of the Footstrap, keeping the foot locked into the Bindings whilst riding over rough terrain.
A hook on the Base of the Ratchet Buckle fits into a special slot on the top of the Footstrap. This clever 3 point connection prevents any movement in the connection of the Straps, allowing the rider the confidence in their equipment to concentrate purely on their riding. Although the Ladder strap will ultimately wear over time, it has been re-enforced on both sides at its base, guaranteeing performance when riding.
TRAMPA CAMLOCK BINDINGS are the #1 choice of binding for all top level Kite Boarders. The Camlock system allows the user to 'Lock the Bindings' in the desired position allowing easy step in / step out action. Should the board be dropped on the Bindings when attempting aerial maneuvers (or similar) the Cam-lock system stops the Bindings from "closing-up", which in turn allows the user to be able to easily put their foot back into the Bindings & continue riding without any hassle.
TRAMPA CAMLOCK BINDINGS use the same 3 point connection as the ratchet bindings, preventing any movement in the connection of the Straps. The Ladder strap will ultimately wear over time so give care to this part when adjusting it.
TRAMPA's Nylon Hook BINDINGS are great for Mountain Board beginners, and perfect for Kite Boarders of all levels. Once Velcroed together they remain locked in their position making it really easy to get your foot in & out - especially good for Kite-Boarders trying to deal with a powerful kite in strong winds whilst trying to step onto a Board at the same time!
To set the bindings, open the Nylon Hook STRAPS and place your foot in-between, then without too much force sandwich the Nylon Hook straps into a comfortable position over the top of your foot. Remember to set the position of your velcro straps using the footwear you will be using when riding & practice stepping in & out of your bindings to get used to its feel.
TRAMPA's LUXURY VELCRO BINDINGS give you best of both worlds. Between the easily-customisable velcro straps from the Nylon Hook Bindings and the lush EVA foam padding from the Camlock and Ratchet style bindings, TRAMPA’s Luxury Velcro Bindings are easy to step in and out of, and keep your feet locked in comfortably when you need them to be most.
TRAMPA HEEL STRAPS lock your feet into the bindings and make you feel at one with the deck. When using Heel Straps you’re committed to the ride and have more control over the board. Most Pro-Riders use Heel Straps when MOUNTAIN BOARDING, as feeling locked to the board increases confidence, without the worry of your feet potentially working themselves out of the bindings whilst ripping over the rough terrain.
With 3 pairs of different length LADDER STRAPS to choose from, the TRAMPA HEEL STRAPS easily adjust to fit to any sized shoe that comfortably fits onto a Mountain Board. A CAMLOCK BUCKLE is used to Lock the Ladder Strap on one side of your foot and a RATCHET BUCKLE is used on the other side. The Ratchet Buckle easily tightens the Ladder into the Heel Straps so that your foot is locked into a comfortable position!.
TRAMPA Heel Straps are universally fitting and are supplied with a Marine Grade Stainless Steel FITTING KIT as standard, so only take a few minutes to assemble.
We are proud to introduce a new member in the world famous VESC speed controller family!
We gave it the name VESC HD. It is the abbreviation for High Density, referring to the ultra compact design. The HD project started almost 2 years ago & we took our time to bring it to perfection.
Certainly the Power to size ratio is the key feature of the TWIN VESC HD. Measuring just 100mm x 55mm x 18 mm the TWIN Motor capable VESC HD-60T is a true space saver!
The HD-60 range of Speed Controllers has even more to offer & is capable of hibernating... Your board can conserve power while not in use - reducing power consumption to just 20μA – less than the self-discharge rate of the batteries. Or with automatic power off, your VESC can switch itself off after a set amount of time. Kickstart or Roll to start allows you to wake up the unit, without the need of finding the switch to turn it of so giving the wheels a gentle push is all it takes.
Compatible with power buttons that we offer, the HD can be ready to go with a single press / flick / kick!
In its development, due to their tendency to eventually blow up after a certain period, no Mosfet switches were used in this production. This saves on the additional costs of replacing them, & also adds to the longevity of the VESC HD.
Produced as standard with an integrated NRF 52840 Chip for wireless connection, this eases initial setup & RT-Data acquisition while you can still use an external BLE dongle or Antenna if Signal Boosting is necessary.
The TWIN HD-60 is a modular design, consisting of a twin logic stage & two separated power stages. Both channels operate as independent, redundant units, so that a damage on one channel does not take down the second channel. Also you will find all ports twice, giving you more freedom to interconnect secondary devices & it certainly is adding to the redundancy effect.
The modular design makes the device very repairable if electronics get damaged. Mishaps happen & we want you to get your device up & running again quick & without buying an entire new unit. Spare PCBs will be available at a reasonable price tag going forwards.
As expected, this mew VESC features THREE PHASE SHUNTS & adjustable VOLTAGE FILTERS - detecting any motor attached more precisely and reliably than ever before. Consequently all kinds of motors now run as smooth as butter & react PERFECTLY LINEAR to throttle input commands.
The HD is ASS Ready. Ass stands for Advanced Sensor less Startup, which basically means full torque from 0 RPM. ASS is a future SW/HW feature, not to be confused with HFI. We want you to know that the device is already prepared for the future!
You’ll also find a new IMU chip fitted - featuring a gyroscope & accelerometers... The VESC knows its 3D orientation position in space & 3 axis acceleration values....
UAVCAN has been added to the VESC firmware allowing you to interact with commonly used flight controllers like the PIXHAWK ®* devices. The HD is perfect for bigger drones & other UAVs!
VESC-Tool is now available as an Android™ compatible App, allowing you to configure your VESC or VESC array with only a few clicks. User specific PROFILES will let you change in between different setups with a single tap on the fly.

Mountainboard Spur Gear Drive TWIN Motor Mount
TRAMPA's MkIII SPUR GEAR DRIVE (SGD) Motor Mount is a Super Powerful drive system that's designed to give maximum performance. It is the perfect option for 'Serious Off-Road Riding!'
The performance from the SPUR GEAR DRIVE Motor Mount is likened to that of a Motor-Cross bike - The solid gears inter-lock & as the motor turns supplying instant propulsion! There can be no 'slip' no matter how hard you push.
The SGD has insane torque & gives astonishing acceleration. but it is still able to easily achieve, through a selection of different gearing options for different types of riders a 30mph+ top speed... Capable to handle aggressive riding, this board can be being ridden in the worst of conditions & also very good at hitting fair sized jumps like those found on your local BMX park.
Comparably, TRAMPA's PRO BELT DRIVE (PBD) Mountainboard, which many customers wonder if this is the right board for them compared to the SGD, because of its sturdy Black anodised Aluminium protective Tub makes the Pro Belt Drive setup a sealed off system and just like the SGD preventing the the likes of crap from getting in, the PBD can still be ridden in bad conditions but is designed with gearing that is more like that of a Motor-Enduro bike which is less aggressive acceleration but therefore a higher top speed & should be selected for longer flatter rides as its somehow more comfortable for these kinds of rides & gives you a bit more top-end speed at the same time....
TRAMPA's 'SPUR GEAR DRIVE Motor Mount' will only fit to Precision CNC Hangers. Constructed using TRAMPA's special Conical Clamping system which securely tightens itself onto the Hanger, the Assembly of any of the TRAMPA Motor Mounts is incredibly sturdy & terribly robust 100% perfect for the rough terrain they’ll be ripping across.
The SPUR GEAR DRIVE Pulleys are produced in 2 ways. Originally using light weight POM material (Which is great for light weight riders) & now being also offered in Heat treated Steel alternatives (Which is great for the larger riders). POM is like a re-enforced plastic material & much less Heavy than a Steel option. The POM Pullies are offered in a 58 Tooth Helical cut (supplying a gear ratio of 1:5.8) &/or a 59 Tooth Straight cut gear (supplying a Gear ratio of gives 1:5.9) so the Straight cut pulley has 1 tooth more which means it will accelerate slightly faster than the 58 Helical (but barely anything in it really).
Its claimed the Straight-cut POM gears run slightly louder than the Helical POM Gears, although the slight increased noise can be quite nice to hear, it gives a sense of speed & can be quite useful to alerting ramblers or pedestrians you are approaching or likely to approach around a blind corner that you might be traveling too fast into and therefore the slight noise alerts our fellow citizens of our approach which takes the fright of a surprise out of your potentially fast approaching presence... :-)
Both POM Pullies options are wonderful for the lighter weight riders, say up to 80kg in weight, but sometimes not robust enough for the larger sized riders out there, 80kg+.... If your an aggressive rider but light weight then you should consider taking the steel Pullies as they are stronger for sure...
& so larger sized 'Fully grown BigBoys' out there that want the same performance as the light weigh riders they see in the videos they need the strongest equipment & with more gearing ratio to allow their extra weight/mass to have almost the same incredible performance as the lighter weighted riders, so we have made some Heat treated STEEL Slave Pullies. That's a ratio of 1-7 and will give incredible torque! So for riders that are big and need some gearing to shift them forwards fast, the 9/63 is the one for them. If your a light
You can further fine-tune the performance by changing the Rear Drive wheel size. Changing from 8” to 9” or 10“ Tyres has a massive effect on the performance of the board. Check out the Spur Gear gearing chart to see estimated top speeds of different tyre & pulley combinations.
CNC'd from a Solid Block of Super Strong Aluminium the SGD Tub is T6 Heated before being presented to you in a Glossy BLACK Anodised finish, with a TRAMPA logo running down its facing edge to give incredibly smart & co-ordinating good looks as well as maximum performance 100% of the time!
It is only possible to fit the TRAMPA 5 Spoke Hubs to SGD Slave Pulleys. This means the 5-Spoke Phatlads, Superstar & Megastar wheels fit no problem. However it is only possible to run 8, 9 or 10 inch tyres on the Pro Drives, due to low clearance around the housing tubs.
Spur Gear Slave Pulleys are made using premium POM plastic, giving them the best strength : weight ratio possible.
TRAMPA's EXTERNAL SPUR GEAR DRIVE is housed within a super strong, rubber-sealed Tub, CNC’d from a solid block of heat-treated T6 Aluminium. Ensuring all the moving parts are safe from the elements, as well as knocks and bumps that come along naturally when riding.
We recommend you service your board every three rides, or after any particularly tough ride. Check the hardware is tight, the gears are greased, & for any damage - particularly to the motor mounts/trucks. Ensure the tub is free from any dust/dirt. Servicing your board is important for keeping it running smoothly, as well as for your safety when riding.
