INNOVA's 8x 2x 3.75 Inch DIAMOND TREAD tyre is a time tested Classic styled highly purposed All Round Tyre, a design you may well have seen over the years on other devices such as BMX or Mountainbike which is the kind of influence we turn to for inspiration.
Made from relatively softish rubber with a relatively close cut grip pattern on a relatively ballooned shaped tyre, the 8 Inch DIAMOND TREAD Tyre is a perfect all rounder option, giving great grip on hard packed surfaces & relatively good grip when heading off road specially during the summer months. I would not describe the Diamond treads as being suitable for the most extreme of off road rides, but for everyday use in a warm dry climate they are great.
Measuring 3.75 Inches at the rim, the 8 inch Diamond Tread Tyre will fit to all of TRAMPA's 3.75x 2 Inch Hubs for exact fit, but will also fit to the 3.75/4 x 2.5 Inch Hubs. When fitting the 2 Inch wide Tyres to the 2.5 Inch Rims it gives the tyres a stretched & a lower profile appearance, consequently more surface area.... Some guys really like to do this....
Diamond Treads are available in 8 & 9 Inch, so should you wish to put 9 Inch Diamonds on the rear & 8 Inch Diamonds on the front (putting 8 on the front & 9 on the rear gives your motorised TRAMPA Deck 'more grip on the drive wheels' whilst still keeping the front end 'light & nimble' if you look at pretty much all 4 wheeled motor sports, they nearly always put larger wheels on the rear) you can do, however, you must take the hub with 4 Inch Rims to be able to fit the larger 9 Inch Tyres with 4 inch rims...
Its true, the more you inflate your Tyres the faster you will roll! It also true that if you inflate your tyres too high or too low you will also wear out your tyres mush faster. The official maximum inflation pressure set by the factory for the DIAMOND Tread 8 Inch Tyre is 50psi, but the DIAMOND Tyres are made so well & the TRAMPA Hubs are so strong (The tyres are only as strong as the hubs they are fitted too & our hubs are incredibly strong) that our Crash test Dummies (I mean Team Riders) have been known to inflate these Tyres well beyond their recommended pressures with no problems to mention. Its also true that over inflating your tyres may lead to an explosion which could seriously injure you, so use a pressure guage if your going to inflate them high. If you do decide to go beyond the max inflation pressure ensure your nuts & bolts are tight & once your done riding at the high pressure deflate them back down to a regular pressure, HOWEVER, through years of testing & under mutual agreement with the team, depending on how you ride & how much you weigh & what surfaces your mostly riding, we recommend you should look to inflate these tyres to somewhere between 25 & 35 psi for optimal use.
