12ply Flex Bridge - Stiffen your deck by adding a flex bridge to your deck
RRP
£20+

Stiffen the flex of your deck by fitting a Flex Bridge! Flex Bridges are available in 11, 12 & 13ply options, to match the ply of your deck. It can be screwed & it can also be glued directly to the center of your deck. The better the adhesion the stiffer the performance of the flex bridge

How to fit - Remove your bindings from the deck & make the center area clean. Measure up the flex bridge to find the center of the deck & use a clamp or a good friend you trust to hold the Flex bridge in the correct position on the deck. To make the work neat use an electric drill loaded with a 2mm Metal Drill bit, set it to spin as fast as it goes and make some suitably placed pilot holes through the deck & flex bridge. Then exchange the drill bit to 5.5mm and enlarge the holes suitably to accept the bolts. Finally for a neat flush fit, counter-sink the underneath of you deck the same as the bindings. We suggest making 8 Holes in total for the connection, 1 in each corner of the Flex Bridge, 2 on the outer middle edge & 2 located centrally, equal distance from all other holes.... If you have some nice Glass/Plastic based Glue this can also be used in addition to the nut & Bolt combination to make the ultimate in connections, the more connection the more stiffness you will get!

Using M6x30mm Countersunk Bolts and either a 4mm Allen Key or an adaptor on your electric drill to hold a 4mm Allen keyscrew the countersunk bolts into & through the deck connecting the flex bridge to the deck together..  Using your fingers screw on the M6 nuts until finger tight. Then using a 10mm Spanner or socket bit for your ratchet drive and the 4mm Allen Key to hold the countersunk bolt steady progressively tighten down the nut onto the Bolt. Try to avoid turning the Bolt,  Try to only turn the nut onto the bolt... Fixing the Flex Bridge & Grab Handle together will make your deck just a little bit stiffer!
