TRAMPA-IR TRUCKS are based on a simple mechanical principle of floating the hanger on two pairs skate bushings, each resting inside a round bushing seat inside the hanger body (BUSHING IRIS). Everything is held together using two parallel 50mm long skate kingpins which are taken from other models we offer.

TRAMPA IR hangers are 17 inches wide, CNCed from a solid billet of 6061T6 Aluminum that have been fully polished & finally anodized.

The hanger itself is box shaped, giving it ultimate structural strength whilst keeping the weight low. The hanger body is swung forward, bringing the wheel axle further to the outside, maximizing the wheel base and foot to wheel clearance. An interesting feature of the hanger geometry is the vertical kingpin position. The kingpin/bushing is located within a pocket and therefore it is not poking out towards the bottom, making it less likely to catch branches and other obstetrical along your path. The IR hanger body is 312 mm wide and therefore 30 mm wider compared to a Vertigo or Infinity truck.

MOTOR MOUNTING PATTERN & WHEEL OPTIONS

The TRAMPA-IRs feature the same axle and 19.5 x 19.5mm motor mounting square as the famous TRAMPA Infinity and Vertigo spring trucks. In consequence any TRAMPA MTB drive can be fitted just the same way. The same applies to the TRAMPA wheel range.

BUSHING SETUP

Since the TRAMPA IR Trucks feature a standard skate bushing eye, pretty much any available skate bushing can be used in combination with this truck system. The tuning options are therefore endless. However you don't need to go mad and try hundreds of possible combinations. While you can improve the response to your individual needs, the standard setup should already work very well for you.

FITTING THE IRs TO YOUR DECK & MOUNTING PATTERN

Super handy too know they fit to all TRAMPA Mountainboards so it doesn't matter what kind of a Mountainboard you have, you can be sure it will fit. The only decks that can not take the IR Baseplates are the older style Holy Pro decks with the big frog mouth cutout in the nose. Holy pro decks with the smaller cutout in the nose can take the IR baseplate. Those decks typically allow for inside and outside spring position and will there fore be suitable.

The mounting pattern of the Baseplate is 63.5 x 41mm, same as the old skate truck pattern used on all our other tucks so everything can fit where others have already been making them the perfect upgrade Truck. The axles are  in the same position compared to the TRAMPA spring trucks, just the wheel base will be 30mm wider.

BASEPLATE

The TRAMPA IR Baseplate is designed to hold two standard skate kingpins (9.4 x 50mm). It is crafted from 6061T6 aluminum and comes in 10 different rainbow colours.

In order to shift the wheels further towards the outside, giving the board an additional 6mm of wheelbase, the design is non symmetric in regards to the 63.5 x 41mm mounting pattern. Depending on how you flip the Baseplate, you can either increase or decrease the wheel base of your board by 12mm.

TRAMPA-IR TRUCKS - Why not??
With a compatible Mounting pattern the same as that of any of the Trucks TRAMPA offers, the IR Trucks can be easily retro fitted to give your board yet another brand new feel!

Compatible with any Deck TRAMPA offers the IR Trucks have a 17 Inch Wheel Base (they are 1 Inch Wider than regular ATB Spring Trucks) & they feel tremendously stable at speed whilst still offering heaps of steering regardless of what Deck they are fitted too.

Using a simple mechanical principle of doubling the steering resistance of that of a regular ATB skate truck, squeezing double the amount of Kingpins & Bushings between the Baseplate the hanger, one stack directly in front of the other, to literally double the steering resistance that is much more suitable for larger sized riders making the ride feel very stable on a wider based steering systems compared to the original Single Skate or loose set Spring Truck steering system...

Each bushing is located in a Seat inside the hanger body (BUSHING IRIS) & Baseplate. Everything is held together using 2x 50mm long skate kingpins which are taken from other models we offer...

TRAMPA IR hangers measure 17 inches wide. They are CNC'd from billet of 6061 T6 Aluminum. They have been High Bead polished & finally High Gloss Black Anodised for surface protection & colour co-ordination with all the tens of connecting parts & good looks!

The hanger body itself is 'Box shaped', providing the ultimate structural strength. Its bulk has been cnc'd to take out the mass of the material out keeping the body weight super low. The hanger body is swung forward, bringing the wheel axle further to the outside, maximizing the wheel base & foot to wheel clearance. An interesting feature of the hanger geometry is the vertical kingpin position. The kingpin/bushing is located within a pocket & therefore it is not poking out towards the bottom, making it less likely to catch branches & other obstetrical along your path. The TRAMPA IR hanger body is 312 mm wide & therefore 30 mm wider compared to a classic Vertigo or Infinity Spring Style truck.
