Bugs Boarding - Brilliant!

Review:

NEW NEW NEW New at Bugsboarding is a 380m boardercross track including 9 corners , hips , rhythm sections and tight technical sections. Also at Bugs is the 2008 / 2009 World Freestyle course to include some of the largest jumps in the world in a slope style design with a choice of 3 jumps,a 14ft drop and 21ft box rail and to finish is a 16ft tall quarter pipe! There are lots of new mini jumps and rails set up at the top of the beginners slope too with a couple of wall rides thrown in. RELAX AND CHILL If you've been riding all day there is a chill out lounge for the riders with a view over looking the center. SKATE You could just have a skate on one of the 2 skate half pipes there for your pleasure. ALSO AT BUGS There are 6 sledges there to hire now, yes thats right Grass Sledges. Great fun for everyone. BIKES Don't forget the park is also open to Mountain and BMX bikes so if you have both them bring them along. Bugsboarding Mountainboard Center was started on April 25th 2004. It was set up by AJ Watkins and Buggs as a center for everyone. The idea came from AJ Watkins who has helped set up many centres across the UK.It was once a scramble track for a series of races to take place each year, then foot and mouth stopped that happening for a number of years and the site was left in a mess. With the go ahead from the land owner and Buggs they decided to build a centre with a difference. Being a rider and designer of courses, AJ with the help of Leon Robbins designed and built a complex of jumps and rails with multiple lines across the hill using the soil left from the scramble. There was also a track and lots of other beginner and intermediate jumps and rails on a more gentle slope. Bugsboarding had a team of dedicated helpers that helped the centre run throughout the first season, building, mowing, cleaning, painting, promotion the list was endless and without the help of everyone that helped, Bugsboarding would not be what it is today. Bugsboarding has something for everyone. Beginners to Intermediate - There is a 250m long and 100m wide undulating grass slope for beginners to ride and carve and get the feel for mountain boarding.Included on the slope is a selection of rails 10ft, 12ft, 24ft, and 48ft lenghts for the more advanced try along with wooden kickers, 1ft, 2ft and 3ft tall to catch that first bit of air. There is also a slalom area to help the turning technique and a section of 3 rollers and a table for the first taste of boardercross. Intermediate to Advanced - There is a section of the hill which is dedicated to Freestyle and Boardercross. This area is for the more advanced and has multiple lines throughout the hill. Freestyle/Slopestyle - Here we have a full on 250metre long Slopestye course that will test even the best.Multiple lines take you down the hill with the option of hitting jumps or rails in what ever sequence you want.Included are a 21ft stright rail,16ft 'C' rail,24ft 'Rainbow rail',24ft 'Kink' rail,'Jib' rail and a 48ft 'step' rail over a pond! Also 2 large kickers a smaller table, step downs into a huge 'Bowl' with 2 kickers out and a real 'Car' to jump and jib.On the sides of the jumps are 'Hips' to transfere and change lines. The list is endless and there is more being added all the time! Boardercross - Downhill on a designated track designed to test your skills and consentration. This track is a 250metre 4 man fast and technical track with a left hand berm to start, pushing you into a section of different size rollers which gain you speed into a right hand berm, overv a table top and immediately into a long sweeping left hand berm over one single roller and over the finnishing table which has double rollers on top.
