TRAMPA's 8 Inch MUD-PLUGGER Tyre is a super advanced & incredibly lightweight tyre that fits all the 3.75 inch hubs on the market. It is the perfect tyre choice when your when riding in the worst of conditions, seeking the maximum grip possible!! 

Measuring 8x 2 Inch or 200mm x 50mm with a 3.75 Inch Rim,  the MUD-PLUGGER tyre has a box shaped construction, whilst the 2PR 'soft compound' rubber coating has an aggressive & well spread tread pattern that see's 'Grip on top of Grip'. Making the Mud-Plugger tyre 'Box shaped', having much straighter sides for example compared to the kind of Ballon shape of the 8 inch ALPHA tyre, allows for much more 'Surface Contact' resulting in much more 'Traction' for the user.

Mud-Plugger tyres also have a 'Wide Center Bead' allowing good top end roll speeds but as it is so Deep Grooved (5mm at the deepest) & very 'knobbily' around its sides to cut through the deepest of mud, suggests the appearance of the TRAMPA Mud-Plugger tyre works best in really bad conditions more than straight line speed on Hard packed surfaces!

TRAMPA's 8 Inch Mud-Plugger tyre has 3.75 inch Steel Bands molded into rims of the tyre, therefore the 8 Inch Mud-Plugger tire will fit onto all 3.75 inch hubs & 3.75/4 inch hubs currently on the market.

To enhance grip capabilities to the max the Mud-Plugger Tyre is manufactured using a Soft Compound '2PR rubber' wrapped around whats known as a High TPI (Threads per Inch) construction. A High TPI results in a super lightweight, very supple yet strengthened construction that further enhances grip & is more resistant to punctures. High TPI is applied to all top quality bicycle tyres. 

Having invested into professional testing at the factory & using our own TRAMPA hubs to make the testing, the factory have given this tyre a recommended maximum inflation pressure of 65psi (BUT ONLY WHEN FITTED TO TRAMPA HUBS) which is much more than any other brand & testament to the design & superior strength of the TRAMPA HUBs! Its true, the more you inflate your tyres the faster you will roll but these are off road tyres & so its not always good to have high inflation! Over inflation of your tyres may cause an explosion which could cause serious injury to yourself, however running your tyres as low as 20-25psi (depending on how much you weigh and how you ride etc) is more likely to give you the best grip when riding in the soft stuff....

Using a 3ply Hard compound rubber, the reinforced structure of the tyre will prevent the possibilities of punctures & with Grip on Grip & Grip on the side walls, and a 2.5 inch surface contact the 9 Inch Mud-Plugger Tyres will pretty much take you anywhere you can imagine riding! Lowering the tyre pressure will further increase your grip :-)

9 Inch Tyres will only fit to the amazing 9 Inch MEGASTAR Rims or the 3 Spoke PRIMO Hubs.

Using 9 inch MEGASTAR Rims, you can connect the 9 inch Mud-Plugger tyres to the Pro Belt Drive & the Pro Spur Gear Drive Electric Mountainboards

Using 3 Spoke Primo Hubs It is possible to connect with 9 inch Mud-Plugger Tyres to the Urban Electric Mountainboards
