On Board with Beech Kite Land Boarding
Although they can look pretty much the same, Kite Boards do differ to Mountain Boards in quite a few ways. Kiteboarders, being pulled by the kite and often dangling from it during arial maneuvers tend to prefer shorter & lighter decks to complete their moves compared to Mountainboarders who tend to want longer stiffer decks.
Of course it does depend on the size and dimensions of the rider as to wether they are suitably sized to ride the smaller skate style Kite Deck and their own personal requirements as to what it is they want to do. Larger Kiteboard riders dont tend to be free stylers
The length & width of the deck & component requirements for kite boards tends to be differnent to the usual requirements of a Mountain board rider. Advanced Kiteboarders are keen for big airs & fast rotations so a short light poppy deck works best for these kind of riddrs. Although they are not the strongest, Skate style trucks are the lightest available & make the board super light weight & great for aerial tricks. Velcro or Camlock bindings lock in position & allow easier "in and out" foot access for "board off" & "1 footed" maneuvers. Check out the suggested rider weight stats in the Technical page of the blank decks, (add link) if unsure as to which deck is the best one for you then please drop us a line using the which deck for me questionaire.
