By altering the number of layers of material that we add into the mould, we are are able to tune the final performance of the TRAMPA decks relevant to the riders weight height & ability. Please use the FLEXOMETER above as a guide to help you choose the right ply board for you. TRAMPA's FLEXOMETER information is to be interpreted as a 'GUIDE ONLY' as there is no fixed rule as to which is the exact right deck for you. The weight, height & ability of the rider will all help determine which is the right sort of deck for you, but of course the most important factor is personal preference as to how the rider wants their deck to feel.... Some riders like it flexi, some like it firm, some like it very very stiff.... It depends on what you are doing on your board, i.e. freestyle, freeride, boarder-cross, altho there is guidance there is no right & no wrong just personal preference but when purchasing a deck from TRAMPA we want to make sure you get it exactly the way you want it! so if your stuck as to which one is the best for you them please drop as a line...

6.5 inch URBAN TREADS on a Carve Board gives you a board that looks & rides like a compact Electric Mountainboard. Carve boards can fit any of the 118-160Kv 6364 DC Motors we offer. 118Kv Motors are the choice for particularly hilly areas, whereas 160Kv Motors will carry you to some insane speeds!
Due to the extra space needed for two VESCs, we can currently only offer Twin Setups using the BIGGEST BEAST BOX.

Measuring just 850mm tip-to-tip, TRAMPA’s CARVER DECKS are balanced between being small enough to carry on a bus - & long enough to still feel substantial & stable beneath your feet at speed.
Using 35° angled tips, Carver Decks have the same flex & ‘pop’ as TRAMPA’s MTB decks, & work in conjunction with MINI SPRING TRUCK steering systems.

Carve boards come fitted with a rear-mounted BEAST BATTERY BOX. Rear-mounting the batteries ensures the deck doesn’t loose any flex or ‘pop’, while leaving all the space for freedom of foot-placement.
Carve Boards are compatible with Under-Board Battery Trays. Under-Board Battery Trays may look sleeker, but they sacrifice clearance on the bottom of the board, as well as the flex of the deck itself – BEAST BOXES solve both these issues.
Having the weight of the batteries over the rear helps to give the back wheels extra grip – perfect when carving-tightly.

Carve boards use MINI SPRING TRUCKS - TRAMPA’s most multifunctional steering system yet! A scaled down & improved version of TRAMPA’s already-amazing Spring Trucks, MINI SPRING TRUCKS give three points of adjustment to fine-tune the steering resistance - through Spring Adjustors, various colours of DAMPA, & finally by installing the springs closer or further away from the Kingpin.
MINI SPRING TRUCKS use reversible hangers – giving two sets of trucks in one! The axles have been mounted in an offset position, so when the hanger is reversed, the wheelbase length, ride-height and performance of the finished board is changed.

It’s possible to attach T6 Aluminum BULL BARS to your front truck, which not only knocks the road-kill out of the way & potentially mows the lawn as you go, but also allows you to connect all kinds of things from lights, cameras, Sat-Navs, or anything else you may need on the front end of your board.

Carve boards are able to fit any style of Bindings & Heel Straps we offer. Using bindings gives a whole new level of confidence & control over the board. Allowing you to really lean into turns, hop up curbs & tick tack - bindings are a true game changer on Carve Boards.

You will need to supply your own Batteries to make the boards move. There are many options when it comes to cells; desired range & budget usually determine the sort of cells you should purchase. People often ask us what cells to use - & there are hidden issues with some cells, such as availability, price, shipping restrictions, wrong connectors, or complexity of build (especially when it comes to making custom build batteries). Taking all these factors into consideration, we found a regular supply of good performance cells from a variety of suppliers & consequently built our Battery Boxes around them. ORIGINAL carve motor mounts use super strong 3k Twill Carbon Mounting panels & T6 Aluminium Truck Connectors to create a drive train with an amazing strength : weight ratio.
Different Carbon Mounting Panels are needed for mounting different wheels.

MKII carve motor mounts use an all-in-one TRUCK CONNECTOR & MOUNTING PANEL. CNC’d from a solid block of T6 Heat-treated Aluminium, the MkII Carver Motor Mount Connector Panel can withstand the knocks & pumps that come along when riding, while staying secure and aligned on the truck.

TRAMPA's 1 piece MK III 'Carve Truck' MOTOR MOUNTs are CNC Precision made from a solid billet of 'T6 Heat Treated' Premium Aluminum. The Aluminum Motor Mount acts as a 'heat sink' sucking out potential heat build up, that will most likely get generated from a typically well thrashed Motor maintaining performance for longer, 

The MK III 'Carve Truck' Motor Mounts are not symmetrical. This means the Left side (REGULAR) will not fit to the Right side (GOOFY), so if your wishing to ride single motor please do not mix these different sides up. You should ride with your Motor Mount fitted close to you rear foot, HEAL SIDE. To help, if your Left foot is forward when you ride then your a Regular Rider & if your Right foot is forwards then your a Goofy rider.....

To have enough space to be able to fit 2x of TRAMPA's big 6376 Motors, you must fit the OFF-SET 8 Inch MEGASTAR hubs, with 9.525mm OFF-SET Spoke Support Spacers also fitted... This 'Double OFF-SET positioning' gives just enough space for everything to squeeze into place perfectly....!

TRAMPA's MK III 'Carve Truck' Motor Mount is most importantly Anodised for surface protection & in 10 different colours not only for good looks but to state the obvious to be colour co-ordinated to fit with the hundreds of the other pimp-ass good looking products on the TRAMPA website!! Once Anodised the Mounts are Laser Logo'd & named to inform the user what the item is & most importantly which side fits where...! :-)

The MK III 'Carve Truck' Motor Mount will lock on to any of the TRAMPA CARVE Trucks or Carve Hangers. Using just 2x M8 Grippy Grub screws (per mount) & some locktight to hold everything in position, they will lock the Mount to the hanger & will comfortably fit 2x of ANY of the 6364 or 6376 TRAMPA Motors!! Some serious serious power for a little board!!

The MK III Motor Mounts can also be used to fit STICKIES Longboard Wheels, any GIANT sized GUMMIES Longboard Wheels & any 6.5 inch URBAN TREADS & 7 Inch Inline Pneumatic Tyres....

VESC HD-60T TWIN

We are proud to introduce a new member in the world famous VESC speed controller family! 

We gave it the name VESC HD.  It is the abbreviation for High Density, referring to the ultra compact design. The HD project started almost 2 years ago & we took our time to bring it to perfection. 

Certainly the Power to size ratio is the key feature of the TWIN VESC HD. Measuring just 100mm x 55mm x 18 mm the TWIN Motor capable VESC HD-60T is a true space saver!

The HD-60 range of Speed Controllers has even more to offer & is capable of hibernating... Your board can conserve power while not in use - reducing power consumption to just 20μA – less than the self-discharge rate of the batteries. Or with automatic power off, your VESC can switch itself off after a set amount of time. Kickstart or Roll to start allows you to wake up the unit, without the need of finding the switch to turn it of so giving the wheels a gentle push is all it takes. 

Compatible with power buttons that we offer, the HD can be ready to go with a single press / flick / kick!

In its development, due to their tendency to eventually blow up after a certain period, no Mosfet switches were used in this production. This saves on the additional costs of replacing them, & also adds to the longevity of the VESC HD.

The TWIN HD-60 is a modular design, consisting of a twin logic stage & two separated power stages. Both channels operate as independent, redundant units, so that a damage on one channel does not take down the second channel. Also you will find all ports twice, giving you more freedom to interconnect secondary devices & it certainly is adding to the redundancy effect. 

The modular design makes the device very repairable if electronics get damaged. Mishaps happen & we want you to get your device up & running again quick & without buying an entire new unit. Spare PCBs will be available at a reasonable price tag going forwards.

As expected, this mew VESC features THREE PHASE SHUNTS & adjustable VOLTAGE FILTERS - detecting any motor attached more precisely and reliably than ever before. Consequently all kinds of motors now run as smooth as butter & react PERFECTLY LINEAR to throttle input commands. 

The HD is ASS Ready. Ass stands for Advanced Sensor less Startup, which basically means full torque from 0 RPM. ASS is a future SW/HW feature, not to be confused with HFI. We want you to know that the device is already prepared for the future! 

You’ll also find a new IMU chip fitted - featuring a gyroscope & accelerometers... The VESC  knows its 3D orientation position in space & 3 axis acceleration values....

UAVCAN has been added to the VESC  firmware allowing you to interact with commonly used flight controllers like the PIXHAWK ®* devices. The HD is perfect for bigger drones & other UAVs!

VESC-Tool is now available as an Android™ compatible App, allowing you to configure your VESC or VESC array with only a few clicks. User specific PROFILES will let you change in between different setups with a single tap on the fly.

Introducing the Amazing WAND CONTROLLER

Frank Drenckhahn - King of design & production at TRAMPA & Benjamin Vedder - Creator of the VESC aka the 'Yoda of Electronics', spent the winter period of 2018/19 designing a revolutionary remote controller, with some new & very exciting 'E-Skate-specific-features' to work in direct relation with the VESC / TRAMPA series of products.

There are many basic remote control options already on the market, but none of them hit the high bar when it comes to features & reliability. Here at TRAMPA, we’ve experienced riding with in-sufficient, untrustworthy remotes. Consequently, we’ve always dreamed of holding a reliable, versatile, ever-lasting, informative & safe remote controller, that matches the outstanding performance of the VESC software & the TRAMPA equipment that they’d be so frequently paired up to. You should expect nothing less than magic whilst waving the WAND over TRAMPA assembled VESC Products!!

HARDWARE

High-end TRAMPA Electric boards deserve to be controlled with a high-end remote, you need to be 100% in control over the Monster under your feet! Personally, I always dreamed of something that feels nice in your hands, made of high grade material, with a little bit of weight to represent the same high quality level of our TRAMPA boards, and the cutting edge technology the VESC offers. This remote is made from 6061 T6 (Aero-grade) Aluminum with a sleek carbon fiber battery lid. You can see & feel the quality straight away.

REAL TIME DATA DISPLAY

The WAND is fitted with a circular high resolution OLED display that reveals all the crucial information you want to have at hand while riding your board. The screen might be small, but the list of data it shows is HUGE! You’ll be able to scroll through and see your current speed, average speed, amp draw, duty cycle, average watt hour draw, battery indicator (for both board & remote), recuperation and more to be added through firmware updates!

Whatever data the VESC captures can ultimately be displayed on the OLED screen. Benjamin even added in a few tools to display animated graphics, for ultimate pimpness!

SMART REVERSE

Ever over shot the junction & wished you could reverse a little to pull you back from the traffic? Well now with the WAND in your hand, pulling back on the Thumb Controller bringing you to a stop & keeping your thumb in the braking position will automatically instigate the Smart reverse feature which will ramp up enough Amps to switch the rotation direction of the motor but just at slow speed so that the board reverses you out of trouble..... A very very clever feature designed to keep our clients safe...

SAFETY & GESTURE Control: AN OUTLOOK TOWARDS FUTURE FW UPDATES

What is really exciting is the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) inside The WAND... The IMU knows the exact orientation of The WAND in space and gathers acceleration values of all the space axis at the same time, acceleration, speed & elevation. Using the IMU, Benjamin will in future be able to code some really useful safety features, as well as some playful things. For instance; one day the remote will be able to tell if you take a tumble & will be able to stop your board safely. It will know when it is resting upside down on a surface, and refuses to send accidental signals to the board. Powering up when you pick it up & going to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity The WAND is smart enough to save its own battery! It can even be used as a water spirit level, helping you to align things perfectly! Expect some nice FW updates in the FUTURE. IMU features will become available over a period of time!

TRANSFORM YOUR REMOTE

On top of the features mentioned above, amazing piece of tech features the options to either be converted to a pistol grip style trigger remote, or to have an additional small trigger on the lower side to allow additional index finger control. I like to use my index finger to send acceleration commands, while using my thumb to send brake signal commands. Others want to use their thumb or index finger only. Much alike TRAMPA’s boards, these remotes are made to be customised around you!

SAFE KEEPING

We’ve all wasted too much time on the pre-riding ritual known as “Where the **** did I leave the remote?!” Well no more. We decided to equip The WAND with a Magnetic bottom panel. A small metal sheet or magnet attached to your board (stick a big washer to your Battery Box or similar), will keep your remote safe where it belongs all the time, or you simply keep your remote on the fridge, next to the car keys! 

BATTERY LIFE

Battery life has always been an issue in the past. Sometimes you want to go out for a ride, but you forgotton to charge up your remote. Then after a quick charge, you end up worried that it‘ll die before the end of your ride.

When Frank & Benjamin designed this remote, ultra low energy consumption was a prime goal to achieve.

We chose to use standard AAA batteries, so that you can easily carry spares & swap them out - like changing the batteries on your TV remote, giving you ultimate confidence that you will never ever run out of battery. Two tiny AAA cells are good for 30 hours of constant operation. AAA cells are available at gas stations, supermarkets, drug stores, or even in a remote house in the middle of nowhere in a kitchen draw, should you get real desperate while out on your endless trails!

SOFTWARE & SUPPORT

We don't want you to have to buy a new remote because the software becomes outdated, so we made sure this remote would have a USB & SWD port, allowing you to easily flash the latest firmware, and unlock the latest features when they get released. This remote is future proof & will surprise you many times over its life. The Wand Firmware will be Open Source. COMPATIBILITY

This remote is fully compatible with the TRAMPA NRF Dongle. An NRF connection is required to pair the Controller to the VESC device. Depending on if or when you bought the dongle, you might need to update its firmware in order to make the connection to the controller though the VESC, which is a simple task. This remote is compatible with any ESC that is based on VESC technology, and running the VESC firmware. Simply plug the TRAMPA NRF Dongle into the UART port of your ESC.

CALIBRATION AND MULTIPLE BOARDS

This remote doesn't require calibration. A simple one click pairing procedure does the trick. This remote will become a solid partner to all your boards.  No more need for multiple remotes for lots of boards, unless you want to ride out with your friends. In which case you can leave your old PPM remote receiver plugged in & switch over to that using the VESC-Tool App.

In order to connect The WAND to your VESC or VESC based ESC, you will need to do a Firmware update on that ESC. Simply plug the TRAMPA NRF Dongle into your VESC & pairing is pretty much automatic, just follow the on-screen instructions. This GRAUPNER ULTRAMAT Charger is capable of Charging & Balancing all cells up to 12s in power. The Ultramat 18 charger is used by the TRAMPA team for charging all of our decks that use Zippy Cells for power. The charger comes with a UK or EURO Plug for wall plug in connection, XT90 Jack leads & 2x 7 pin adaptor plates which allow balancer cable connections from 2x batteries from 1s to 6s using JST Connectors.... As the Graupner is our suggested charger for the Zippy cells this charger is somehow incorporated into the design of our Battery Boxes so using this charger is nice easy to connect, it is reasonably fast to charge whilst it balances (looking after) your cells at the same time and you dont need to remove anything in order to charge as the cells are all snugly secured away in one of the amazing Carbon fiber boxes, which as it so happens have been designed special for this style of charger & easy charging... :-)

12s power is the perfect amount of power to be pushed through any of the TRAMPA Electronic products (12s should only be applied when using the very special TRAMPA VESC6 speed controller). When 12s power is pumped into the VESC6 you will be able to experience the kind of riding performance everybody is talking about. Do not push more power than 12s into the VESC6. Using a XT90 Battery harness cable kit to connect 2x 6s batteries together will double the battery power resulting with a 12s Battery WITHOUT Any soldering or Welding!! 

So as you now know, to achieve 12s power requires a minimum of 2x 6s Batteries (it could be more cells if you were custom making your battery or if you were achieving 12s from 6x 2s, 4x 3s or 3x 4s cells as they can all be harnessed together to make 12s power... but then you will most likely need an additional balancer cable harness or more chargers to charge/balance each cell individually if you want speedy charging), so for efficiency & simplicity we base our 12s power on the use of 2x 6s cells as generally speaking there are many good priced nice performing chargers put there which also have the ability to balance your cells to prevent failiure of the cell, already on the market are capable of charging up to 2x 6 cells at any 1 time,

which maximizes efficiency which in turn means less chargers & (of course if you are making a custom battery you will need a BMS complicated system & Soldering skills) so you either need  2x 6s Battery chargers or 1x charger that is powerful or large enough to charge 2x 6s batteries at the same time to reduce charging times & this GRAUPNER ULTRAMMAT 18 charger is the charger TRAMPA is currently recommending of using capable of charging 2x 6s cells at any 1 time, so if you are running 12s made up from 2x 6s batteries, using this graupner charger you can charge both 6s cells at the same time.... :-)

As well as suggesting our customers find the best performance through using custom cells to make custom battery packs & BMS (Battery management systems), this all gets a little complicated for the majority of our customers, so for ease of supply & speed of installation as plugging in the 6s Cells means no welding or anything messy like that, as well as achieving excellent performance & fabulous range, TRAMPA is strongly encouraging the use of the ZIPPY Compact 6200mAh 6s 40c Lipo Pack with XT90 connectors in on any of the Boards in TRAMPAs range that use either the 12s BEAST BOX or 12s2p MONSTER BOX, as these high power 6s Cells not ony fit perfectly into these custom made Carbon Fiber boxes, but the lids & sides of the Boxes have been CNC'd allowing the wiring loom to flow beautifully inside, further enabling the battery balancer cables to poke out of the rear or sides of the box, whislt most importantly allowing the Charging XT90 connectors to push tightly into & fit perfectly into the precision cut holes in the lid, which are secured int position by the use of s simple ZIPTIE, allowing for simple but very strong KEY connection for turning your board on or off & allowing a really easy plug n play to charge both 6s cells at 1 time when using this Grauper charger

 sit perfectly, further allowing Lug holes for the XT90 Connectors to fit into & be secured by a simple ziptie

you should set your charger to LiPo Manual, 6A and max possible mAh setting. Actually the limit of the charger is 20,000mAh I think. That only means the charger will stop charging when it pumped in 20,000 mAh. Worst case, you need to give the charger a second go to finish the job. It simply counts how many mAh it pumped in and stops at your pre-defined value.

When you press the two middle buttons simultaneously, while you charge,you can enter a mode that allows you to see each individual cell.

+- buttons let's you flick through the cells.

Each cell is full when it's at 4.21V.

A test with wheels in the air gives zero information about the performance, since the Vesc is current controlled. This control mode only works when there is a load.

Your Remote has two modes, fast and slow.

When you switch it on, ist in slow mode.

Press the on button again and it will blink fast.

Now you are in fast mode.
