By altering the number of layers of material that we add into the mould, we are are able to tune the final performance of the TRAMPA decks relevant to the riders weight height & ability. Please use the FLEXOMETER above as a guide to help you choose the right ply board for you. TRAMPA's FLEXOMETER information is to be interpreted as a 'GUIDE ONLY' as there is no fixed rule as to which is the exact right deck for you. The weight, height & ability of the rider will all help determine which is the right sort of deck for you, but of course the most important factor is personal preference as to how the rider wants their deck to feel.... Some riders like it flexi, some like it firm, some like it very very stiff.... It depends on what you are doing on your board, i.e. freestyle, freeride, boarder-cross, altho there is guidance there is no right & no wrong just personal preference but when purchasing a deck from TRAMPA we want to make sure you get it exactly the way you want it! so if your stuck as to which one is the best for you them please drop as a line...

TRAMPA’s huge range of bindings are the most customisable on the market - meaning you’ll be able to get the perfect fit for your riding style - in any colour scheme you can think up.
All TRAMPA bindings use Stainless steel Dome Headed Bolts, connected through the Footstrap into L-Brackets, ensuring no discomfort to the foot. The L-Brackets are 'multi positional' allowing the rider the exact foot-stance they require. All TRAMPA Bindings are supplied with a Marine grade A4 Stainless Steel deck fixing kit included.
TRAMPA's RATCHET BINDINGS are the number 1 choice of Bindings for Mountain Boarding. The Ratchet Buckle mechanism allows the rider to lever the bindings very tight, treating the rider to a locked in & fully connected boarding experience. TRAMPA Bindings wrap snugly over the top of your foot so firm footwear is advisable. The EVA Foam Padding is ribbed on the underside of the Footstrap, keeping the foot locked into the Bindings whilst riding over rough terrain.
A hook on the Base of the Ratchet Buckle fits into a special slot on the top of the Footstrap. This clever 3 point connection prevents any movement in the connection of the Straps, allowing the rider the confidence in their equipment to concentrate purely on their riding. Although the Ladder strap will ultimately wear over time, it has been re-enforced on both sides at its base, guaranteeing performance when riding.
TRAMPA CAMLOCK BINDINGS are the #1 choice of binding for all top level Kite Boarders. The Camlock system allows the user to 'Lock the Bindings' in the desired position allowing easy step in / step out action. Should the board be dropped on the Bindings when attempting aerial maneuvers (or similar) the Cam-lock system stops the Bindings from "closing-up", which in turn allows the user to be able to easily put their foot back into the Bindings & continue riding without any hassle.
TRAMPA CAMLOCK BINDINGS use the same 3 point connection as the ratchet bindings, preventing any movement in the connection of the Straps. The Ladder strap will ultimately wear over time so give care to this part when adjusting it.
TRAMPA's Nylon Hook BINDINGS are great for Mountain Board beginners, and perfect for Kite Boarders of all levels. Once Velcroed together they remain locked in their position making it really easy to get your foot in & out - especially good for Kite-Boarders trying to deal with a powerful kite in strong winds whilst trying to step onto a Board at the same time!
To set the bindings, open the Nylon Hook STRAPS and place your foot in-between, then without too much force sandwich the Nylon Hook straps into a comfortable position over the top of your foot. Remember to set the position of your velcro straps using the footwear you will be using when riding & practice stepping in & out of your bindings to get used to its feel.
TRAMPA's LUXURY VELCRO BINDINGS give you best of both worlds. Between the easily-customisable velcro straps from the Nylon Hook Bindings and the lush EVA foam padding from the Camlock and Ratchet style bindings, TRAMPA’s Luxury Velcro Bindings are easy to step in and out of, and keep your feet locked in comfortably when you need them to be most.
TRAMPA HEEL STRAPS lock your feet into the bindings and make you feel at one with the deck. When using Heel Straps you’re committed to the ride and have more control over the board. Most Pro-Riders use Heel Straps when MOUNTAIN BOARDING, as feeling locked to the board increases confidence, without the worry of your feet potentially working themselves out of the bindings whilst ripping over the rough terrain.
With 3 pairs of different length LADDER STRAPS to choose from, the TRAMPA HEEL STRAPS easily adjust to fit to any sized shoe that comfortably fits onto a Mountain Board. A CAMLOCK BUCKLE is used to Lock the Ladder Strap on one side of your foot and a RATCHET BUCKLE is used on the other side. The Ratchet Buckle easily tightens the Ladder into the Heel Straps so that your foot is locked into a comfortable position!.
TRAMPA Heel Straps are universally fitting and are supplied with a Marine Grade Stainless Steel FITTING KIT as standard, so only take a few minutes to assemble.
TRAMPA's Generation III PRO BELT DRIVE Motor Mount is a work of art! Made predominantly from T6 Aluminium, every piece has been precision made to give simple assembly & maximum performance.
The Pro Belt Drive Motor Mount will give you the same kind of performance as experienced when riding an Enduro Motor bike, it uses a lower gearing ratio of 4.71:1 giving a higher top speed when compared to the Spur Gear Drive setup - which has a higher gear ration of 5.9:1 (for better acceleration).
The Gen III Pro Belt Drive Motor Mount will only fit to Precision CNC Hangers, using TRAMPA's special Conical Clamping system to securely attach onto the Hanger. The Assembly of any of the Pro Motor Mounts is incredibly sturdy & robust; perfect for the rough terrain they’ll be ripping across.
Accommodating a 66 Tooth Slave pulley, it is possible to adjust your gearing by swapping between 13, 14 or 15 tooth Motor pulleys. 13 tooth motor pulleys are perfect for hill climbing, whereas 15 tooth pulleys will achieve a higher top speed, & 14s are a nice balance between the two.
You can further adjust the performance by changing the Rear Drive wheel size. Changing from 8” to 9” or 10“ Tyres has a massive effect on the performance of the board. Check out the Pro Belt gearing chart to see estimated top speeds of different tyre & pulley combinations.
It is only possible to fit the TRAMPA 5 Spoke Hubs to Pro Drive Slave Pulleys. This means the 5-Spoke Superstar & Megastar wheels fit no problem. However it is only possible to run 8 – 10 inch tyres on the Pro Drives, due to low clearance around the housing tubs.
Enclosed within the Motor Mount tub is the Belt Tension Roller - a Bearing Mounted in Aluminium housing, that guides the belt into the optimum position/tension, to maintain the max amount of grip between the belt & the pulley.
Its possible a belt can snap for a variety of reasons. If you’re the kind of rider that likes to go off into the wilderness, then you should always ride with a couple of spare belts (when one snaps, chances are the other isn’t far off). TRAMPA's Pro Belt Drive utilises two special cut-outs that ‘ejects’ broken belts from the housing – slimming the chances of snapped belts jamming up the Motor Pulley.
The best way to prevent a belt snap is to check over & replace the Pulleys & belts on a semi-regular basis - BEFORE they have chance to fail on you. Riding, accelerating & braking hard will wear out your belts & pulleys faster. We recommend you service your board every three rides, or after any particularly tough ride. Check the hardware is tight, the belts aren’t worn, & for any damage, particularly to the motor mounts/trucks. Ensure the tub is free from any dust/dirt. Servicing your board is important for keeping it running smoothly, as well as for your safety when riding.

Accommodating a 66 Tooth Slave pulley it is possible to to adjust your gearing by fitting the 13 or 14 tooth Motor pulley. Adding the 14 tooth will increase your top speed but will also effect your acceleration as the 13 tooth will accelerate faster than the 14 tooth, but will not achieve the same top speed of the 14 tooth.... :-)
You can further adjust your gearing by changing the Rear Drive wheel size from 8 inch Tyres to 9 inch Tyres & now its possible to even fit 10 inch Tyres!! but 10 inch Wheels will require the 13 tooth Motor pulley to turn the Pro Belt Drive as the increase in tyre size has a massive effect on the performance of the setup & therefore you should not expect to be able to climb up the steepest of hills when using the 10 inch tyres unlike the regular 8 inch wheel boards can do with no problem at all.
It is only possible to fit the TRAMPA Wheels that have 5 Spokes to the Pro Drive Systems... this means the 5 Spoke Superstar wheel fit with no problem however it is only possible to run 8 inch wheels or larger on the Pro Drive Setups as there is no clearance around or in particular below the Gearing housing, so only 8 inch Superstars will fit this
Enclosed within the Motor Cover housing is the Belt Tension Roller which is a Bearing Mounted in a Aluminum housing that turns with the belt guiding the belt into the optimum position/tension to gain max grip on the Pulley, also allowing the adjustment in tension on the belt....
Its possible a belt can snap for all kinds of reasons. If your the kind of rider that likes to go off into the wilderness and your riding a belt Drive system of any kind then for sure you should always ride with a spare or maybe even 2. TRAMPA's Pro Belt Drive has 2x holes to allow a broken belt to escape out of the system in a a worlds first attempt to prevent the likely hood of if a belt should snap that it wil not get jammed up with the Motor Pulley inside the motor mount cover which has been known to bring the wheel to an immediate stop, which we all know is not good, so having these 2 release holes and the special Belt guider on the inside of the tub, we hope to be able to say we have prevented the belt jams that can be experienced when a belts snaps...
The Best way to prevent a belt snap is to check & replace your Pulleys & belts on a regular basis and before they have chance to fail on you. Riding hard, accelerating and braking hard, will wear out your belts & pulleys much faster... it is in my experience that regardless of how well sealed we try to make the housings bits of shit can get still into the assembly. so you should disassemble your setup from time to time, inspecting all the import parts, like Teeth on pulleys, Teeth on Belts, make sure things remain tight and have not rattled themselves loose etc....

Frank Drenckhahn - King of design & production at TRAMPA & Benjamin Vedder - Creator of the VESC aka the 'Yoda of Electronics', spent the winter period of 2018/19 designing a revolutionary remote controller, with some new & very exciting 'E-Skate-specific-features' to work in direct relation with the VESC / TRAMPA series of products.
There are many basic remote control options already on the market, but none of them hit the high bar when it comes to features & reliability. Here at TRAMPA, we’ve experienced riding with in-sufficient, untrustworthy remotes. Consequently, we’ve always dreamed of holding a reliable, versatile, ever-lasting, informative & safe remote controller, that matches the outstanding performance of the VESC software & the TRAMPA equipment that they’d be so frequently paired up to. You should expect nothing less than magic whilst waving the WAND over TRAMPA assembled VESC Products!!
High-end TRAMPA Electric boards deserve to be controlled with a high-end remote, you need to be 100% in control over the Monster under your feet! Personally, I always dreamed of something that feels nice in your hands, made of high grade material, with a little bit of weight to represent the same high quality level of our TRAMPA boards, and the cutting edge technology the VESC offers. This remote is made from 6061 T6 (Aero-grade) Aluminum with a sleek carbon fiber battery lid. You can see & feel the quality straight away.
REAL TIME DATA DISPLAY
The WAND is fitted with a circular high resolution OLED display that reveals all the crucial information you want to have at hand while riding your board. The screen might be small, but the list of data it shows is HUGE! You’ll be able to scroll through and see your current speed, average speed, amp draw, duty cycle, average watt hour draw, battery indicator (for both board & remote), recuperation and more to be added through firmware updates!
Whatever data the VESC captures can ultimately be displayed on the OLED screen. Benjamin even added in a few tools to display animated graphics, for ultimate pimpness!
Ever over shot the junction & wished you could reverse a little to pull you back from the traffic? Well now with the WAND in your hand, pulling back on the Thumb Controller bringing you to a stop & keeping your thumb in the braking position will automatically instigate the Smart reverse feature which will ramp up enough Amps to switch the rotation direction of the motor but just at slow speed so that the board reverses you out of trouble..... A very very clever feature designed to keep our clients safe...
SAFETY & GESTURE Control: AN OUTLOOK TOWARDS FUTURE FW UPDATES
What is really exciting is the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) inside The WAND... The IMU knows the exact orientation of The WAND in space and gathers acceleration values of all the space axis at the same time, acceleration, speed & elevation. Using the IMU, Benjamin will in future be able to code some really useful safety features, as well as some playful things. For instance; one day the remote will be able to tell if you take a tumble & will be able to stop your board safely. It will know when it is resting upside down on a surface, and refuses to send accidental signals to the board. Powering up when you pick it up & going to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity The WAND is smart enough to save its own battery! It can even be used as a water spirit level, helping you to align things perfectly! Expect some nice FW updates in the FUTURE. IMU features will become available over a period of time!
TRANSFORM YOUR REMOTE
On top of the features mentioned above, amazing piece of tech features the options to either be converted to a pistol grip style trigger remote, or to have an additional small trigger on the lower side to allow additional index finger control. I like to use my index finger to send acceleration commands, while using my thumb to send brake signal commands. Others want to use their thumb or index finger only. Much alike TRAMPA’s boards, these remotes are made to be customised around you!
We’ve all wasted too much time on the pre-riding ritual known as “Where the **** did I leave the remote?!” Well no more. We decided to equip The WAND with a Magnetic bottom panel. A small metal sheet or magnet attached to your board (stick a big washer to your Battery Box or similar), will keep your remote safe where it belongs all the time, or you simply keep your remote on the fridge, next to the car keys!
Battery life has always been an issue in the past. Sometimes you want to go out for a ride, but you forgotton to charge up your remote. Then after a quick charge, you end up worried that it‘ll die before the end of your ride.
When Frank & Benjamin designed this remote, ultra low energy consumption was a prime goal to achieve.
We chose to use standard AAA batteries, so that you can easily carry spares & swap them out - like changing the batteries on your TV remote, giving you ultimate confidence that you will never ever run out of battery. Two tiny AAA cells are good for 30 hours of constant operation. AAA cells are available at gas stations, supermarkets, drug stores, or even in a remote house in the middle of nowhere in a kitchen draw, should you get real desperate while out on your endless trails!
SOFTWARE & SUPPORT
We don't want you to have to buy a new remote because the software becomes outdated, so we made sure this remote would have a USB & SWD port, allowing you to easily flash the latest firmware, and unlock the latest features when they get released. This remote is future proof & will surprise you many times over its life. The Wand Firmware will be Open Source. This remote is fully compatible with the TRAMPA NRF Dongle. An NRF connection is required to pair the Controller to the VESC device. Depending on if or when you bought the dongle, you might need to update its firmware in order to make the connection to the controller though the VESC, which is a simple task. This remote is compatible with any ESC that is based on VESC technology, and running the VESC firmware. Simply plug the TRAMPA NRF Dongle into the UART port of your ESC.
CALIBRATION AND MULTIPLE BOARDS
This remote doesn't require calibration. A simple one click pairing procedure does the trick. This remote will become a solid partner to all your boards. No more need for multiple remotes for lots of boards, unless you want to ride out with your friends. In which case you can leave your old PPM remote receiver plugged in & switch over to that using the VESC-Tool App.
In order to connect The WAND to your VESC or VESC based ESC, you will need to do a Firmware update on that ESC. Simply plug the TRAMPA NRF Dongle into your VESC & pairing is pretty much automatic, just follow the on-screen instructions. The TRAMPA NRF Dongle can be updated to the latest, compatible FW, using the latest desktop VESC-Tool.
