TRAMPA's DOUBLE STACKER MONSTER BATTERY BOX Surface mounted between the riders feet the MONSTER Box is often thought of as being a little bit ugly, but real beauty is not skin deep & its whats inside that matters...
This Double stacker Box is surface mounted to allow maximum ground clearance when riding over long distances.
A Double stacker Box can fit up to 4x 22Ah Lipos or 2x 12s9p 18650 cells.
Designed to work in conjunction with a Trampa Electric Mountainboard Deck, the motor cables are installed through rubber grommets and exit via hidden channels under the griptape or Trampa Wings for a sleek and stealthy result.
Made from 2mm & 4mm thick carbon fiber, the Monster box has been precision CNC’d with a 2.1mm groove to allow all panels to slot in perfectly. The box is held together with your choice of anodised aluminum hex spacers and countersunk bolts for a tight and sturdy construction.
The box is held together with Aluminum Hex Spacers that are Glued & Screwed through the base of the box.
It can also be fixed the the board using the latest aluminium stand-off and rubber gaskets,for a strong and stable connection.
For your convenience and additional instruction, we have created special battery pages on the RIDE GUIDE where we are encouraging battery makers from all the corners of the globe who wish to be part of the TRAMPA community to offer their wares & services.
When installing your chosen batteries into your Monster Box, it’s recommended to secure them with velcro, and then pad the area around the batteries with foam. This reduces vibrations that the batteries experience and will make them last longer.
CLASSIC MONSTER Box MkV 2WD BASE
The Monsterbox Classic MkV Base connects to all vertical panels in a Monster Box Classic or Double Stack Monster Box Classic, provided the adjacent panels are also Mk5. They are used with grommets to allow entry into the box by the phase and sensor cables, and the edges of the box are where the hex spacers mount. Additionally, the base is where any Monsterbox is mounted to the board. In this case that can be done via the standard bushing system or Dogbone mounting system. This panel is only designed to operate with 2 motors.

The Monsterbox Classic MkV Lid rests on top of the side and end panels of the Monsterbox Classic MkV and centers the screws into the hex spacers to hold the box together.

The Monsterbox Classic MkV VESC Side Lid rests on top of the side and VESC panels of the Monsterbox Classic MkV and centers the screws into the hex spacers to hold the box together. It also acts as an access terminal, allowing you to conduct simple maintenance such as charging and turning your VESCs on and off without opening up the box.

We are proud to introduce a new member in the world famous VESC speed controller family!
We gave it the name VESC HD. It is the abbreviation for High Density, referring to the ultra compact design. The HD project started almost 2 years ago & we took our time to bring it to perfection.
Certainly the Power to size ratio is the key feature of the TWIN VESC HD. Measuring just 100mm x 55mm x 18 mm the TWIN Motor capable VESC HD-60T is a true space saver!
The HD-60 range of Speed Controllers has even more to offer & is capable of hibernating... Your board can conserve power while not in use - reducing power consumption to just 20μA – less than the self-discharge rate of the batteries. Or with automatic power off, your VESC can switch itself off after a set amount of time. Kickstart or Roll to start allows you to wake up the unit, without the need of finding the switch to turn it of so giving the wheels a gentle push is all it takes.
Compatible with power buttons that we offer, the HD can be ready to go with a single press / flick / kick!
In its development, due to their tendency to eventually blow up after a certain period, no Mosfet switches were used in this production. This saves on the additional costs of replacing them, & also adds to the longevity of the VESC HD.
The TWIN HD-60 is a modular design, consisting of a twin logic stage & two separated power stages. Both channels operate as independent, redundant units, so that a damage on one channel does not take down the second channel. Also you will find all ports twice, giving you more freedom to interconnect secondary devices & it certainly is adding to the redundancy effect.
The modular design makes the device very repairable if electronics get damaged. Mishaps happen & we want you to get your device up & running again quick & without buying an entire new unit. Spare PCBs will be available at a reasonable price tag going forwards.
As expected, this mew VESC features THREE PHASE SHUNTS & adjustable VOLTAGE FILTERS - detecting any motor attached more precisely and reliably than ever before. Consequently all kinds of motors now run as smooth as butter & react PERFECTLY LINEAR to throttle input commands.
The HD is ASS Ready. Ass stands for Advanced Sensor less Startup, which basically means full torque from 0 RPM. ASS is a future SW/HW feature, not to be confused with HFI. We want you to know that the device is already prepared for the future!
You’ll also find a new IMU chip fitted - featuring a gyroscope & accelerometers... The VESC knows its 3D orientation position in space & 3 axis acceleration values....
UAVCAN has been added to the VESC firmware allowing you to interact with commonly used flight controllers like the PIXHAWK ®* devices. The HD is perfect for bigger drones & other UAVs!
VESC-Tool is now available as an Android™ compatible App, allowing you to configure your VESC or VESC array with only a few clicks. User specific PROFILES will let you change in between different setups with a single tap on the fly.

TRAMPA's DOUBLE STACK CLASSIC MONSTER Box is capable of housing up to 4x 6s 22Ah Li-Po Cells & 2x VESC 6 speed controllers at the same time.
TRAMPA's different sized Monster boxes are all made using 2mm & 4mm thick GR4 Re-enforced Glass Fiber panels. The Base & Split Lid panels have been CNC machined with a 2.1mm groove to allow the 2mm thick side panels to slot in & inter-connect perfectly, giving a very strong & tight construction to the box. The box is held together with Anodised Aluminum Hex Spacers which use Stainless Steel Dome Headed TORX Bolts that in turn use lock-tite for permenant connection are screwed through the base of the box, whilst Stainless Steel Countersunk TORX Bolts mounted in a Anodised decorative washers are then used to screw the lid down into the Hex Spacers giving an incredibly neat tight strong & smart finish to the assembly.
As the Box uses the latest Split lid & Inspection pit, it is possible to undo the Countersunk Lid Bolts & remove either the Battery Lid-Side or the VESC Lid-Side of your box, should you ever wish to remove your batteries or take out a VESC without collapsing the entire box down.
Fitted to the top of the Double Stack Classic Monster Box is the Inspection Pit. Turning the Anodised Thumb screw on the top gives you access to the Battery Charge Cable & Balance leads that are pushed through rubber grommets to stop the ingress of moisture & dirt, thus preventing you from having to open the entire box to do your charging & balancing.
The Double Stack Classic Monster Box connects to a TRAMPA Mountain board deck using a Universal Mount & is top side mounted between the riders feet. The Power Cables for the motors exit the box through water resistant Rubber Grommets from the underside of the box, feeding into the protected grooved channels of the WINGS running under the riders feet, eventually poking out at the rear of the deck where the motors are waiting to be connected.
The Double Stack Classic Monster Box is surface mounted to give maximum ground clearance when riding off road. The majority of TRAMPA products are designed to be ridden off road. When you ar riding off road you need extra clearance or you will get snagged up on anything that protrudes from the ground, bashing your battery box on rocks is not a good idea, plus mounting the box on the surface in the way that we do using the universal mount means we retain 95% of the flex of the deck that the TRAMPA decks are so much famed for.
When installing your chosen batteries into your MONSTER BOX, it’s a good idea to secure them to the base with Velcro, then pad the area around the batteries with good quality foam. This reduces any ride-ruining-rattling sounds whilst keeping the batteries safe from bouncing around when riding over rough terrain.
If you are running full power using the VESC Speed controllers & want good temperature control then it is worth while considering adding a VESC 6 Heat-Sink or two with your purchase.
The DOUBLE STACK CLASSIC Monster Box is NOT Waterproof. It is at best Splash Proof. If submerged into water then you are in trouble. Its best to avoid puddles as you do not know how deep they are. I use puddles as something to carve around turning them into something fun, and if you are using this product in an outside environment when its likely to get covered in mud and splashy water like we do with our Mountainboards, then it is wise practice to protect your equipment & add a Monster Box cover. The Thicker Luxury Monster Box cover is fitted with long pockets down the side to store your WAND Controller or critical tools needed on a ride with a removable 'Velcro' top strip that easily peel off allowing you to get access to the inspection pit without having to remove the entire & potentially muddy cover, which just makes life that bit easier. It is my advise to cover the Luxury cover with the Monster Box Muck off or splash proof cover. The Nylon Splash proof cover adds more moisture & dust protection, and adding them both means you keep your luxury cover as clean as possible, but still have access to the charging & balance cables whilst gaining maximum water proofing protection to your equipment
