By altering the number of layers of material that we add into the mould, we are are able to tune the final performance of the TRAMPA decks relevant to the riders weight height & ability. Please use the FLEXOMETER above as a guide to help you choose the right ply board for you. TRAMPA's FLEXOMETER information is to be interpreted as a 'GUIDE ONLY' as there is no fixed rule as to which is the exact right deck for you. The weight, height & ability of the rider will all help determine which is the right sort of deck for you, but of course the most important factor is personal preference as to how the rider wants their deck to feel.... Some riders like it flexi, some like it firm, some like it very very stiff.... It depends on what you are doing on your board, i.e. freestyle, freeride, boarder-cross, altho there is guidance there is no right & no wrong just personal preference but when purchasing a deck from TRAMPA we want to make sure you get it exactly the way you want it! so if your stuck as to which one is the best for you them please drop as a line...

15º TRAMPA Kiteboard BLANK Decks for Skate Trucks

Although they can look pretty much the same, Kite Boards differ to Mountain Boards in many ways. The length, width & component requirements for assembled boards is completely differnent to the usual requirements of a Mountain board rider. Advanced Kiteboarders are keen for big airs & fast rotations so a short light poppy deck works best for these kind of riddrs. Although they are not the strongest, Skate style trucks are the lightest available & make the board super light weight & great for aerial tricks. 9.525mm HARDENED & HOLLOWED Steel axle Skate Truck

Be it Mountainboard or Kiteboard, TRAMPA's own 9.525mm Hollowed & Heat Treated, Steel Axle Skate Trucks (often referred to as 10mm but accurately measured as 3/8^ths of an inch imperial size), are the recommended Truck choice for all small or beginner riders. These Trucks need to mounted at a 15º Angle in order to steer correctly and so you will see them fitted to the TRAMPA 15º decks as this is the perfect mounting angle for them.

Hollowing the steel axle reduces weight drastically & the heat treating process add's in extra strength. To retain as much strength as possible the axle is 1x long Axe running the entire width of the hanger, it is positioned into the mould as the alloy is casted around it. The alloy body of the TRAMPA Hanger & the Embossed Baseplate are high quality Bead polished & lacquered to give the best protection against the harsh elements they will be used in.

The Pivot cup pushes into the pivot cup housing of the Baseplate & Black 98a Rubber Bushings sit within their housings cushioning the metal parts of the skate truck, protecting them from rubbing against each other & allowing the movement in the truck which converts to steering. These little parts get squashed & often suffering harsh environments they incur a lot of abuse & may fail, so in order to maintain max performance from your trucks you to need service/replace these parts over time.

A Steel kingpin connects the Hanger to the Baseplate. This can be upgraded to Stainless Steel or TITANIUM using the attributes in your purchase. The Titanium kingpin is half the weight of steel & never rusts! You can also purchase a Marine Grade Stainless steel (MGST) Bolt kit at a discounted price with your truck purchase, these bolts will never rust on you! Accompanied by the 44mm axle spacer & 1mm shim washers to position the bearings in the exactly, a 3/8^_ths of an inch MGST Nylock Axle nut tightens perfectly on holding the wheel in the sweet spot on the axle.

TRAMPA have designed & created a special Bearing Conversion spacer which is perfect in converting the standard 12mm bearings to fit to the 7/16^ths (10mm) Hollow axle. This bearing conversion spacer also acts as the perfect speed washer allowing the hub to fit snug on the Axel, giving the wheel the perfect spinning position.

Including the Axel Nuts & oversized Washers, the truck weighs 525 grams each, 1.05Kg per pair. Super light! Its basically an oversized Skate Board Truck which has been beefed up to give the some extra strength to help the extended axles which will be used on the rough terrain. 

This Skate style Truck is the lightest Truck system on the market! Due to its lightness, its over all strength is not as good as other Truck systems offered on the TRAMPA website, so this Truck is mostly suitable for lighter weight riders, especially kids, teenagers and ladies, but if used sensibly is also suitable for heavy riders up to 80kg.

Despite the fact the Skate style Trucks are not the strongest Truck system available, Top Riders accept the fact they may need replacing over time as the weight and cost of the Truck is difficult to match, & many adult sized Kiteboard riders choose to ride these basic Skate style Trucks simply because they are substantially lighter than many of the other trucks on the market. The fact that they may bend or even break under seriously heavy usage or from a major accident bears no odds to them because at £25 each they are very cheap to replace....

The Truck houses 10mm HOLLOW axle's which have enough space on them to house any wheel on the market. TRAMPA have just released some spacers to convert bearings from 12mm to 10mm, these fit snugly to the Axel whilst also adding the perfect spacing to the bearing.

This is the lightest ATB truck option on the market! Due to its mega lightness you could argue its over all strength is compromised & arguably it is not as strong as other truck systems in the TRAMPA Truck options, so this trucks suggested use is said to be more suitable for lighter weight riders, i.e. small sized teenagers who require a lighter deck to steer & of course who will not push as many forces through the setup natrally. Larger riders should not use these trucks without being aware of this...

However its often te case that large sized kiteboard riders often choose to ride these trucks simply because they are so much lighter than any of the other trucks, the fact that they may bend over time or even break under seriously heavy usage (They offen get dropped from great heights when kiteboarding always land awqwardly!!) bears no odds to them because they want the lightest of equipment & at only £50 a pair they are cheap to replace....

The 6 Spoke HYPA Wheel is the lightest & strongest plastic injected Hub / Wheel on the market today! Its produced using original DuPont ingredients & the best Injection Moulding machinery, no quality expense is spared during the production of this amazingly strong little hub!

During testing the HYPA Wheels performance surpassed all expectations. :-) This little 8 inch wheel proved to be so strong, when the "Crash Test Dummies" (i mean the Mountainboard Team Riders) inflated their tyres well beyond factory recommendations! (Tut-Tut Naughty-Naughty!) The extra inflation resulted in substantially faster roll speeds, giving them the extra time in the air to complete their huge freestyle moves & still have time land in 1 piece! I'm pleased to tell you there were no explosions from the over inflation to report whilst breaking a HYPA HUB is just about unheard of, something extraordinary has to go wrong before these hubs do! If you have seen some of the crazy stuff the MTB & KTB teams have put the equipment through over the years, with genuinely almost no problems to report, you will have no doubt of the HYPA WHEELS performance capabilities.

TRAMPA's HYPA hubs are held together using Marine Grade (A4) Stainless steel Nuts & Bolts & will never rust on you. Our bolts are perfect for bad conditions. Not only will the nuts & Bolts never rust on you all the Bolts used by TRAMPA have been dipped in a special Blue Locking Paste, whilst all the Nuts that TRAMPA uses are fitted with the world renowned Nyloc nylon nut locking system, all of these no expense spared small details ensure you get the absolute best product possible! To help prevent you from purchasing imitations, TRAMPA's HYPA Hubs are always TRAMPA embossed between the spokes proving our top quality! 

Your tyre requirements will be defined by the surface you are riding on, however you will be pleased to read that all of the HYPA Hubs will fit into any of the 7 inch Tyres or 8 Inch Tyres on the TRAMPA website. TRAMPA Hubs are also compatible with all known 8 Inch Tyres that are currently on the market, including any other Mountainboard or Dirt Scooter brand.

TRAMPA’s very own & genuine ABEC 5 rated Bearings, push perfectly into the 'Centre Set' bearing housings either side of the hub. The bearings are supported internally by use of a 'Bearing Support Spacer' sitting on the axle in the middle of the hub, guaranteeing the position of the bearings & the smoothest spin rate possible. TRAMPA's Bearings will fit onto 9.525mm, 10mm & 12mm Axles. The metric measurement of 9.525mm, is equal to the US Imperial measurement 3/8ths of 1 inch. Bearing Reducer Sleeves downsize your 12mm Bearings to fit onto 10mm Metric Scooter Axles or 9.525mm (3/8ths of an inch) Imperial Skate Axles. Bearings can be supplied at 50% of the usual retail price when purchased with a wheel... 2x Bearings cost just £2.50 per pair (usually £2.50 each), resulting in a £10 saving per set of 8x bearings, 8 bearings are enough for a set of 4 wheels!

TRAMPA's 200mm x 50mm - 8 Inch wonder wheels are the primary choice sized wheel for many inventors developing sporting equipment requiring very strong whilst very light weight, small pneumatic wheels for their applications to work correctly. If you have a wheeled project on the go & you would like to fit TRAMPA's 8 inch wheels onto it, then in your design you need to use a 12mm axle & you will need to give an axle mounting space of 34.2mm in order to fit the TRAMPA Hubs correctly.

CUSTOM BINDINGS - Build your own Bindings & colour combo!

RATCHET BINDINGS are the Mountain Board rider’s primary choice of binding! The Ratchet Buckle mechanism allows you to easily position the binding to fit most adult sized shoes or boots. There is a release clip on the top of the Ratchet Buckle which works just the same as snowboard binding does, that release the pressure & allows you to step out...

The main Foot-Strap has a special 'Lug or locator' on the top of the Foot-Strap to house a special Hook that protrudes from the underside of Ratchet Buckle. This hook presses into the 'Lug' on the top of the Foot-strap preventing any sideways movement in the connection of the Strap & Ratchet Buckle

The Ratchet Buckle connects with a special M5 Star nut & M5x8mm Countersunk bolt & the Ratchet is mounted on the top of the Main Foot Strap. The LADDER STRAP Positions on the outside of the foot & feeds into the Ratchet Buckle. Levering the Ratchet buckle brings the two straps together. The Ratchet Buckle locks each time you lift the buckle tightening the two straps together until you have a snug but not tight connection over the top of your foot. The release clip can be tuff to move specially of your bindings have been ratcheted tight.

Ratchet Bindings work at their absolute optimum when combined with TRAMPA Heel Straps. HEEL STRAPS Completely lock your feet into any of the TRAMPA bindings to make you feel at one with the deck. When using Heel Straps you are 100% committed to the ride & by doing so you gain so much more control over the board.  

With 3 pairs of different length Ladder Straps to choose from, the TRAMPA Heel Straps easily adjust to fit to any sized shoe that comfortably fits onto a Mountain Board . A CAMLOCK BUCKLE on one side of the strap is used to Lock the Ladder Strap on one side of your foot whilst a Ratchet Buckle is used on the other side for easy tightening/loosening adjustment. The Ratchet Buckle easily tightens the Ladder into the Heel Straps so that your foot is locked into a comfortable position!. 

TRAMPA Heel Straps are universally fitting and are supplied with a Marine Grade Stainless Steel FITTING KIT as standard, so only take a few minutes to assemble. 

ALL TRAMPA Bindings are assembled using a Marine grade A4 Stainless Steel hardware. The L-Brackets are 'multi positional' allowing the rider the exact foot-stance they require.

All TRAMPA bindings use Stainless steel Dome Headed Bolts, connected through the Footstrap into L-Brackets, ensuring no discomfort to the foot.
